So you think Tyler Allgeier won’t be drafted?

I love Tyler Allgeier, he had a great season last year I thought and is a big dude with a good motor.  But he is a RS JR and I do not have him as a guy who is coming out early for the 2022 draft.  Sure he might come out early but will see how he does this year without as much talent around him and a worse offensive line.  Will be a hell of a lot harder for him with a new QB and missing multiple starting offensive lineman, so will see what he can do.

Tykee Smith JR S, I need to watch him more but kid looks like a potentially great player, transferred to Georgia and will instantly start there with all they lost in the secondary.  Hell of a rover in space, especially with all these spread offenses and quick WR screens.  He is a great tackler in space, is a brick wall out there physically, very good base and power.  Quick to react to the football and could be one hell of a player on Georgia.

I need to watch him more, but doubt he is better than Catalon and Hamilton as safeties but is right there with Bubba Bolden and Joseph etc.  Will see how he looks in the SEC as well.

Recently watched the Bama spring game, need to get into watching more of them this summer.  Obviously a talented team with a surprisingly amount of depth on both the offense and defensive lines.  Some standout freshman in that game with Agiye Hall who could be the most explosive receiver on the team right now, outstanding hands and ball skills, then there is Kool-Aid McKinstry.  Literally one of the coolest names I have ever heard, and kid can play at corner, could maybe end up being the starter opposite Jobe if he continues to progress, good size and athletic ability.

Looking back that 2017 Bama recruiting class is flat out insane.

1st round picks (8)

Najee Harris
Alex Leatherwood
Jerry Jeudy
Tua Tagoviloa
Jedrick Wills
DeVonta Smith
Henry Ruggs III
Mac Jones

Other players who made it to the NFL (4)

Xavier McKinney
Dylan Moses
Isaiah Buggs
Thomas Fletcher

Players currently on Alabama that will most likely make it to the NFL next year (7)

LaBryan Ray
Phidarian Mathis
Christopher Allen
Daniel Wright
Brian Robinson
Kendall Rudolph
Major Tennison

Total of 19 overall NFL players potentially from a 29 player class.   I do not follow high school recruiting rankings that much but would be hard pressed I assume to find a class more deep and talented as that one.

Prospect standouts: Week 1A

*Nicholas Petit-Frere RS JR OT Ohio State:  Wow that kid has improved, I was not super impressed with him last year, good player sure but he was outstanding in this game and seems to have taken his game to another level.  Really moves guys out of the way and is very strong and athletic, could fly up the draft boards in a some what weak OT class and if he keeps playing this well has 1st round potentially maybe.

*Amare Barno RS JR OLB Virginia Tech: Really standout game for him, super long and athletic off the edge.  Little weak in the run game at the point of attack but as a 3/4 OLB I think he could really be something.  Was very productive and active on the outside when he was free and looked like he could handle himself in coverage as well if need be.  If he works a big more with being able to get off blocks consistently he could be a hell of a player, potentially has 1st round ability in a some what weak pass rushing class in 2022.

*Miyan Williams RS FR RB Ohio State: Awesome game, a lot was pretty bad defense and some amazing blocking and holes but when it was there Williams took advantage of it and really made some big plays.  Is such a little bowling ball out there, awesome first showing for him.

*TreVeyon Henderson FR RB Ohio State: Was just game one and was against an awful defense that could not stop anyone early last year either.  But kid physically looks outstanding and combined with he and Williams they could have one hell of a RB group not to mention Master who might be getting less and less carries because of Henderson.

*Dylan Wright RS SOPH WR Minnesota: What a freak show athlete, great quick feet, long arms and strong hands.  Could be a very good receiver potentially down the road, is already probably the most talented one on Minnesota right now.  Great first game by him in a big time environment, showed a lot of natural ability to make plays and get open.

*Thayer Munford RS SR OG/OT Ohio State: Love him being moved to guard, seems a lot more comfortable down there and is probably the position he plays in the NFL.  Struggled on the edge and inside he just does better and helped open some huge holes for Ohio State last night.

*Brock Hoffman RS JR C Virginia Tech: I need to watch him more but he looks to be one of the standout centers in the country.  Has good athletic ability and is a tough player inside who can handle himself.  Is part of a surprisingly solid Virginia Tech offensive line and is for sure one to watch in the coming weeks.

*Trey McBride SR TE Colorado State: Love his toughness and athletic ability, one of the few pass catching weapons on that offense but he made some big plays consistently in that game.  They ran a few draw plays with him as the ball carrier and he did great with that also.  Underrated TE and could be rising prospect for this years draft.

*Kenneth Walker III JR RB Michigan State: Amazing game by him, really showed some big time wiggle and athletic ability.  Awesome bust and could be part of a really improved Michigan State team.  Love them moving Heyward to FB/HB which he could easily become in the NFL with the increase of FBs used at that level.  Walker did awesome obviously, will see if he can keep it up.

*Daniel Faalele SR OT Minnesota: Not sure he was great and oddly enough he was in and out of the game more than I would have thought.  So not sure if that is a conditioning issue of if he struggles that much in pass pro or what.  Obviously just moves guys completely out of the way despite it being one of the better DLs in the nation on Ohio State especially with Harrison and Smith at end.  Will be interesting if he can stay healthy this year and play a full season, and at what level he plays at.  I believe he is a senior this year but not sure if he gets a free year also so then maybe he is technically a junior, did not play last year so might even be a RS JR.  Will be one to watch for sure as the season goes on.

*CJ Stroud RS FR QB Ohio State: Did not play great, and had a world of time to throw the ball and no real pressure really most if not all of the game.  But poised competitor, really has a nice throwing arm and corrected some accuracy issues earlier.  But did help he threw to absolutely wide open receivers and a lot of that was in the 2nd half.  Clearly Olave and Wilson are the best WR duo in the nation and it is not even close so that helps him greatly.  Looks decent for his first time out, will be curious how he and the team handle the Ewers situation, Stroud might be transferring because no way he wants to sit if Ewers does get the job next year.

*Tucker Kraft RS SOPH TE South Dakota State: It looks like he has a lot of natural athletic ability.  Great size and overall build, will be one to watch out for, could develop into a hell of a tight end with his size and athletic ability.

*Kevin Jarvis RS SR OG Michigan State: I need to watch him more but looks really solid on the inside.  Nice solid base and good athletic ability for his size as well.  Part of a surprisingly solid OL for Michigan State and clearly played great with how they ran the football.  Will see if they can keep it up and if so Jarvis could be a rising at the guard position come draft time.

Others who impressed:

Kadeem Telfort RS SR OT UAB

Gerrit Prince RS SR TE UAB

RaJae' Johnson-Sanders RS SR WR UAB

Trea Shropshire SR WR UAB

Mac McWilliams RS FR CB UAB

Braxton Burmeister RS JR QB Virginia Tech

Jermaine Waller JR CB Virginia Tech

James Mitchell JR TE Virginia Tech

Jayden Reed RS JR WR Michigan State

Josh Downs SOPH WR UNC

Jeremy Ruckert SR TE Ohio State

Jadon Janke RS JR WR South Dakota State

Caleb Sander SR DT South Dakota State

Adam Brock RS SOPH ILB South Dakota State

Cody Simon SOPH ILB Ohio State

Ryan Watts RS FR S Ohio State

Disappointed:
Sam Schlueter RS SR OT Minnesota - Struggled multiple times in pass pro when left one on one, I have always thought he would be a better guard.  The tackle versatility is nice but he simply is not good enough in pass pro consistently.  So rough first game for this six year senior but I still feel he has late round draft potential.

Zerrick Cooper RS SR QB Jacksonville State - I have not seen a ton of him but was pretty hyped up to start this season, not a great showing against UAB who was clearly the more talented team.  Cooper does have arm talent but going to have to perform a lot better than that if he hopes to be drafted.  Really struggled in that game and was not very productive but that entire team struggled so it was not just on him.

Ohio State LB core - Very disappointing group of linebackers I feel.  Were not very active but to their credit Ohio State did lose an insane group of linebackers last year in Browning, Werner, Hillard and Tuf Borland.  Still not many big time players with that Ohio State group, not sure where Pope went and if he was hurt or not.  The one hope for them is Simon he could be decent on the inside and shows some athletic ability.  The rest still have a lot of development to show and will see how they do.  Overall though that defense is pretty disappointing and could be even worse than last year but they do go some ok talent in the secondary just not sure they will all stay healthy, already lost Proctor in that game to injury and Banks already missed this game and might be out a bit also.

Did not watch the game but checked some box scores, and not totally sure if this is accurate but did Chase Brice and Camerun Peoples play defense for App State as well as offense?  Sure both are just borderline NFL prospects but shows a ton of guts and character to play both ways this day and age.  Maybe they should get a deal for NIL for that!  PS some of these name image likeness deals means that player is higher paid than the assistant coaches on the team.  Not sure if that will be super motivating to the players when they are already a millionaire and some have not done anything on the field yet.  Sure some guys really need the money for their family, but some other guys should not be anywhere close to a million dollars and that is proof by the many who busted in the NFL once they got money and could not handle it.  Now these same dudes are supposed to go to class when they are just handed money like that, bye bye motivation potentially.

Prospect Standouts: Week 1B

*Will Anderson Jr SOPH DE/OLB Alabama: Wow has he improved, just destroyed tackles off the edge.  He was good last year, he is great this year and if he keeps this up should be a lock top 3 pick in 2023.  Amazing production out of him and just dominated that football game.

*Jahan Dotson SR WR Penn State: What a burner, really helped his draft stock if he can have a season where he plays consistently at this level.  Just blew by defenders and looks bigger and stronger than he did last year, could have 1st round potential if he keeps up this high level of play.

*Ellis Brooks RS SR ILB Penn State: Amazing game by him, never noticed him much before but kid was legit in this game.  Read plays correctly, showed great toughness and athletic ability getting to the football.  Was a real leader in a tough environment and part of a surprisingly tough Penn State D.  Brooks played awesome though and could be one of the best ILBs in the up coming draft with a solid season.

*Tyler Linderbaum JR C Iowa: I need to watch him more but kind of see what all the hype is about.  Kid has a really strong base and is super athletic, moves very well in space and can handle himself blocking downfield.  Going to have to watch him more but in a weak center class he could easily be the 1st center taken in the draft if he has a good season.

*Jordan Davis SR DT Georgia: Great game by him, is just a massive dude but great to see him healthy and making plays on the field.  Really looked solid at NT and got some great pressure, if he can stay healthy he obviously has 1st round potential and is poised to have the best season of his career no doubt.

*Kyle Hamilton JR S Notre Dame: Amazing game by him made some ridiculous plays, especially when he went from the opposite hash over to the far sideline to make a INT.  Amazing prospect and should be a top 5 pick, best DB in the nation arguably, his range and size is rare.

*Jesse Luketa SR DE/ILB Penn State: Love his move to DE, really was quite active on the edge and played great.  Able to get off blocks and then is not asked to be in coverage as much.  This move could greatly help his draft stock and he could still be a ILB or could be a 3/4 OLB or 4/3 DE.  Great start by him and will see if he can keep up that level of play.

*George Karlaftis JR DE Purdue: Love his toughness, love his motor and he looked great in this game.  Really tough kid that can take contact and get off of aggressive blocking, is a must watch and if he stays healthy he should easily be a 1st round pick come draft time.

*Bryce Young SOPH QB Alabama: Awesome first game by him, keeps his eyes downfield and scrambles to throw.  Is so quick in the pocket and is able to gather and throw accurately and seems always under control.  Looks like a different player than he did last year no question about it.

*Jaquan Brisker RS SR S Penn State: Got to love the heart he played with, got hurt and was down on the field multiple times, but kept at it and stayed in the game and made some huge plays.  Has been around awhile but the kid is very solid back there at safety and is one of the leaders on that defense in a huge win on the road and for that program.

*Michael Mayer SOPH TE Notre Dame: Best TE in the nation zero question about it, is super fun to watch and very physically put together, the name Baby Gronk is extremely accurate, future 1st round pick easy.

*Jermaine Johnson SR OLB/DE Florida State: What a standout performance by him, looked like a different player than what he was on Georgia.  Was super active in pass rush situations and got home many times.  Very thick and strong kid, could be a late round draft pick if he keeps this level of play up.  Very promising 3/4 OLB prospect and could even play in a 4/3 at DE as well.

*Samori Toure SR WR Nebraska: Such a smooth and natural receiver, could have a great year for them.  Very quick in and out of his routes, good hands and is just natural out there, he is increasing his draft stock greatly with the move to Nebraska from Montana.

*Ryan Greenhagan SR ILB Fordham: Tackling machine out there, had an absolute ton of tackles on a team that was clearly overmatched.  He got a lot of work in but hard to not be impressed with that type of toughness and effort in a one sided game.

*Otito Ogbonnia SR DT UCLA: Impressive interior DT for them, at times it is just he and one other DL on the field.  Great build and really is able to hold his own inside.  Otito I need to watch more of because he looks pretty promising.

*Nik Bonitto RS JR OLB Oklahoma: I need to watch him more, but wow he does move very effortlessly out there.  Can get off blocks easily and get after that QB.  I still think his overall toughness is a bit lacking and his ability to hold the edge in the run game is not great.  But got to love that quickness off the ball and is part of a great pass rushing group on OU.  Will see how he plays the rest of the year, still I would take multiple pass rushers over him if he was to come out for the draft this year so he has some work to do.

*Arnold Ebiketie SR DE Penn State: Just destroyed the tackles in that game, was able to get up under them and through the block consistently.  Very solid edge player and really is helping his draft stock if he can keep up that level of play.

*Jack Coan SR QB Notre Dame:  Hard to not be impressed with his play, had some great ball placement on a few throws.  Still not a huge fan of him under pressure or in terms of his arm talent but he was very solid in this game in a tough environment.  Did not get very good OL play and still performed and produced.  Could sneak his way into being a late round pick with a solid year no question.

Others who impressed:

PJ Mustipher SR DT Penn State

Cam Hart JR CB Notre Dame

Phidarian Mathis RS SR DE/DT Alabama

Jameson Williams JR WR Alabama

Michael Pratt FR QB Tulane

Akeem Dent RS SOPH CB Florida State

Kayshon Boutte SOPH WR LSU

Matt Hankins SR CB Iowa

Brandon Smith JR OLB Penn State

Kendall Randolph RS SR TE/OL Alabama

Reggie Grimes SOPH DE Oklahoma

Riley Moss SR CB/S Iowa

Drew Sanders SOPH OLB Alabama

Jack Sanborn SR ILB Wisconsin

Chez Mellusi JR RB Wisconsin

Zach Charbonnet JR RB UCLA

Bo Calvert SR ILB UCLA

Keeanu Benton JR DT Wisconsin

Chris Owens RS SR OL Alabama

Isaiah Thomas RS SR DE Oklahoma

Nakobe Dean JR ILB Georgia

Atonio Mafi SR OG UCLA

Brock Bowers FR TE Georgia

McKenzie Milton RS SR QB Florida State

Kevin Austin Jr SR WR Notre Dame

Michael Carmody SOPH OT Notre Dame

Disappointed:

Michael Penix Jr JR QB Indiana - Hard to have a more disappointing of a performance that what he did out there.  Just out of sync the entire game and threw multiple INTs two return for TDs.  Just had a rough time making plays and the long layoff clearly did not do him any good.  Will see if he and that team can bounce back and being absolutely dominated by Iowa.

DJ Uiagalelei SOPH QB Clemson - Just was not very good, later in the game kind of got settled but just looked over matched and not ready for what was coming at him.  Sure the OL needed to play better and the run game was basically nothing so that hurt him a lot.  Is a great defense he went up against and only one better arguably is Alabama in the entire country.  Still not a great start but will see if he can bounce back from that, looked like a different player last year with better support around him.

Graham Mertz RS SOPH QB Wisconsin - Never really liked him as a prospect and thought he was pretty overrated, but wow that dude still turns the ball over a ton, be in throwing INTs or just fumbling the ball.  He struggles with pressure obviously and his leadership and body language when down he pretty lacking as well.

Rasheed Walker RS JR OT Penn State - Some hype the guy as a 1st round pick, not sure about that one yet.  Still pretty raw and looked bad and got beat a lot by that Wisconsin pass rush early in the game.  Not a great showing by him but he did play a bit better in the 2nd half.  Still not seeing the 1st round pick stuff just yet on him.

Prospect Standouts: Week 2

*Aidan Hutchinson SR DE Michigan:  What a show he put on, really produced against a highly ranked OT on Washington who I do feel was always a bit overrated but still.  Hutchinson was amazing in that game, showed great conditioning level with his consistent pressure throughout the game.  Able to get into the backfield inside or outside, really used his hands well and already was a 1st round prospect, now would be shocked if he is not the first DE off the board and a possible top 10 selection.  Amazing play by him coming off that injury, really has taken his play to another level.

*Matt Hankins SR CB Iowa:  Great game by him again, was good week 1 and now week 2 even better.  Such a confident corner and his draft stock is skyrocketing right now.  Dude can play the position and is part of one of the best defenses in the nation in Iowa.  Very smooth tough corner who really is breaking out this year.

*Daxton Hill JR S Michigan:  Already had him as a late 1st round or 2nd round pick, dude can cover and has a great feel for the game.  Very athletic safety with good anticipation skills.  Promising player that has great ball skills, interesting safety talent that could sneak into the 1st round.

*JL Skinner JR S Boise State:  Have to watch him more but dude is a physical big safety, long and very strong, good tackler as well.  One to watch on that Boise defense and just got to love that length at safety.

*DeMarvion Overshown SR LB Texas:  Did not have a great game and will have to watch him more but athletically is hard not to be impressed with him.  Needs to get strong and more physical but his size and athletic ability at linebacker is extremely interesting in pass coverage that is for sure.  Promising prospect who has a ton of upside.

*Ricky Stromberg JR C Arkansas:  Outstanding play by him and that Arkansas OL.  Liked him a lot last year and he is even better this season.  Tough center who is athletic and can move very well.  Promising player no question and is the leader of that OL group which put on quite a performance against Texas.

*Blake Corum SOPH RB Michigan:  Was very good week one and even better this year, has such a good running style.  Is always pressing the line and has good vision to break big long runs.  Smaller back but is a hell of a weapon and is part of a surprisingly solid Michigan run game with a OL that is a lot of no name guys, but with Corum/Haskins help they sure can run the ball and did on a solid Washington D.

*Antonio Johnson SOPH CB Texas A&M:  Is one to watch, very aggressive tackling corner and made some huge plays in that game for the Aggie D.  Interesting prospect and need to watch him more, promising looking player.

*Isaiah Likely SR TE Coastal Carolina: Love his athletic ability at TE, big strong kid and impressed a lot blocking in that game.  As a mid round pick he could be a steal, not super long but is strong and compact and could be a heck of a weapon.  That blocking he did downfield was impressive because you already know he can really go and catch the football, showing he is a well rounded TE is even better.

*Jestin Jacobs RS SOPH OLB Iowa:  He along with his teammate Campbell had great games I thought.  Jacobs is a big kid though and in that system could be an outstanding linebacker down the road.  Long and strong, very interesting prospect that one needs to watch.

*Christian Jones RS JR OT Texas:  I have to watch him more but kid really can lock on a defensive lineman and keep him there.  Seems very strong and powerful, good base. Will be interesting how he does the rest of the season, looked very solid out there on the outside that is for sure.

Others who impressed:

Darrian Dalcourt JR C Alabama

Joe Evans RS JR DE Iowa

Grant Morgan SR ILB Arkansas

Edefuan Ulofoshio RS JR ILB Washington

Jack Campbell JR ILB Iowa

Monte Pottebaum JR FB Iowa

Isaiah Lee RS JR DT Iowa State

Hayden Henry RS SR OLB Arkansas

Brady Latham RS SOPH OG Arkansas

Eric Gregory RS SOPH DE Arkansas

Josh Ross SR LB Michigan

Brad Hawkins SR S Michigan

The Raiders desperately need help at OG/DT and potentially LB/CB early in the draft. Who are some names to watch? @Ozzy

Maybe you should spend less time watching QBs huh ;o)

To me it is a some what weak OG and OT class.  Especially OT, Evan Neal is the premium guy but then there is a big drop off, honestly I would move Leatherwood to OG anyway I think he is a better OG than OT in the NFL but will see.  Zion Johnson and Thayer Munford are decent OG prospect but not sure either one is 1st round, maybe Munford late 1st round.  Evan Neal and Tyler Linderbaum are the two standout OL so far, not sure any other guys are up there just yet but that could change Daniel Faalele , Sean Rhyan and Nicholas Petit-Frere could be risers but will see.

ILB has a ton of depth though with a lot of decent guys 2nd through 4th round but no one even close to say Parsons, not even close.  Henry To'o To'o might be the best but there are decent guys behind him just not sure they are 1st rounders.  CB has a lot of depth as well with a lot of promising players outside of Stingley in Elam, Taylor-Britt, Trice, Gardner, Hankins etc.  At DT not sure many are 1st round guys outside of DeMarvin Leal and Jordan Davis, Keeanu Benton and Otito Ogbonnia could surprise some and move up higher.

But obviously it is all depending on where they draft, top 5-10 or in the 15-20 range.

What do you think about Zachary Carter (Florida) and Perrion Winfrey (Oklahoma)?

Carter I have not seen this year, flashed a lot last year but will see what he is like against Bama.  Winfrey I like a lot but he is on a very talented DL on Oklahoma which helps him stay free, but is a solid athlete just will see if he can take it to another level.  They are two to watch though and both could rise up the boards with solid play this year.

Prospect Standouts: Week 3

*Nik Bonitto RS JR OLB Oklahoma: Very effortless as a pass rusher, could be hell off the edge consistently at the next level in the right system if he is protected and has talent around him.  So quick off the snap and can really bend on the edge.  Really promising talent that is part of a very good pass rushing group on Oklahoma, they have multiple guys who can really get after the QB.

*TreVeyon Henderson FR RB Ohio State:  Amazing game by him but not a huge surprise, is as talented arguably as any back in the nation.  Such amazing speed and big play ability, will be fun to watch for the next three years no doubt about it.  Crazy production out of this true freshman back.

*Nick Brahms RS SR C Auburn:  Impressive play by him at center, might be a sleeper come draft time, not a super deep center group and he could really climb up the boards with continued good play.  Solid athlete and has good mobility along the line, interesting prospect.

*Drake London JR WR USC: Big time game by him, loved him last year and is even better this year.  His strength physically and in his hands is impressive, good after the catch and is just a weapon, could be a 1st round pick this year and really should be.

*Ahmad Gardner JR CB Cincinnati:  Nice smooth game by him, got to love his length at corner and how natural he is in coverage.  Could easily be a 1st round pick this year in the draft, still want to see a little more physical play out of him but in the pass happy NFL he is a promising talent.

*Cam Jones SR OLB Indiana:  Very solid game by him, I liked him a lot last year but he really flashed athletically in this game.  Active linebacker who is good in space, very promising prospect and one of the better 4/3 OLB prospects out there potentially.

*Joey Porter Jr RS SOPH CB Penn State: The guy could be a prospect in the 2022 draft I feel, love his length and athletic ability.  Still makes some mistakes but got to love his long arms and aggressive play at corner.  Willing tackler and makes big plays out there, with a great year he could come out early but could be a standout in 2023 as well if he wants.

*Charlie Thomas JR OLB Georgia Tech:  Outstanding game by him, really is a weapon in space and is kind of a safety/linebacker out there.  Love his motor, was solid last year and had a real standout game against Clemson.  Will be one to watch, especially in terms of his versatility at linebacker.

*Calvin Austin III SR WR Memphis: Is one to watch, has big time track speed and made some huge plays in this game with his speed.  Could be a such a weapon at the next level and with a good season and good combine could sneak into the late 1st or 2nd round if he is indeed as fast as he looks.

*Will Anderson Jr SOPH DE/OLB Alabama:  Could be an amazing season by him, was honestly the only real Bama defender to show up in that game.  Is such a weapon off the edge, so improved physically from last year, is a bigger faster dude and could be just amazing in another season if he continues to improve.  Apparently has an outstanding motor and gives constant effort, if he continues that he could resemble Derrick Thomas but will wait and see about that.

*Nay'Quan Wright RS SOPH RB Florida:  Amazing game by him, such lower leg drive and was pretty dynamic out of the backfield.  Will see if he gets the ball more in a pretty stacked Florida RB core, is an interesting talent with his build physically and overall skill set.

*Jordan Davis SR DT Georgia:  Another very good game by him, he should be the first DT taken in the draft based on how good he looks so far this year.  Finally healthy and is a hell of an athlete for being such a massive dude.

*Jahan Dotson SR WR Penn State:  Got to love the hands he shows, just grabs balls out of the air and makes difficult catches look easy.  Should be a lock 1st round pick with hands like that, very promising player and part of a solid upstart Penn State program.

*Brenton Strange RS SOPH TE Penn State: What speed at tight end, can really get down field and has an impressive burst.  Seems to run pretty good routes especially if he has a free release.  One to watch, is part of a super talented Penn State TE group.

*Tank Bigsby SOPH RB Auburn:  Very tough and physical runner with good quickness and vision.  Is hard to deal with having a good combo of toughness and speed.  One of the better sophomore backs in the nation no doubt about it.

*Cornelius Johnson JR WR Michigan:  Love his route running ability and watch out for him with Bell out for Michigan.  Could be a legit deep threat for that offense and if he is a solid route runner could be a good next level player, huge game for him that is for sure.

*Stewart Reese RS SR OG Florida:  Standout game by him in a very impressive performance for that Florida OL overall.  Really controlled the game and was very solid inside before he got hurt, could be a decent mid to late round guard in the draft with his massive size and athletic ability.

*Jared Bartlett RS SOPH OLB West Virginia:  I need to watch him more but he lived in the backfield for West Virginia in that game, super athletic 3/4 OLB and will see how he looks the rest of the year, really dominated in this game though with his athletic ability.

Disappointed:

Henry To'o To'o JR ILB Alabama - Was really lost in that game I thought, got turned around a lot and did not read plays very well as a linebacker.  Athletic kid but looked stronger at the point of attack on Tennessee, still needs to adjust to that new Bama system and really increase his level of play.  Disappointing for what should be the best ILB in the up coming draft potentially.

Christian Harris JR LB Alabama - Did not make much of an impact, was supposed to be one of the top LBs in the nation and he did not do much against Florida when really that Florida offense at times totally dominated that Bama D.  The lack of solid LB play was a big reason for that.  Will see if Harris can play better, because the LB group and DL did not play great and honestly neither did the secondary.  Honestly I would hope he would play more on the edge but he does not so I guess his pass rush ability is pretty limited.

DJ Dale JR DT Alabama - Not impressed with his play so far this year, has not shown up much outside of a few plays.  I expected him to be one of the top interior DL in the nation this year and he has not looked like that at all.  Will see if he can turn it around.

D'Eriq King RS SR QB Miami FL - Has been pretty disappointing this year, that offense has not looked great for Miami this year and King has not been as quick to make decisions with the football.  I believe it is his sixth year and will see if he can turn it around because it is not a good start so far.

Tiawan Mullen JR CB Indiana - I had him really highly rated but he has not done great this year, not as impactful as a tackler and has not made as many plays at corner as I would have thought.  Still a promising player but some what disappointed by his level of play so far this year.

Desmond Ridder RS SR QB Cincinnati - Did play better late and did lead the team to a win but was pretty inaccurate with the football.  Sure he is athletic and has a decent arm but not sure he has elite level arm talent at all.  Looks pretty average if you take his scramble ability away from him.

Notes:  Obviously either Alabama is a bit overrated on the defensive side of the ball or Florida has a really good offense and OL.  They lost huge weapons in Pitts, Toney and the starting QB in Trask but are obviously still a very dangerous offense and that run game is something.  The D is solid as well with a solid DL and a good group of LBs and surprisingly decent DBs, Elam is a constant but kind of surprised how solid the other positions are.  Will see if Florida can keep that level of play up and what they end up doing with that QB situation.

*Jordan Davis SR DT Georgia:  Another very good game by him, he should be the first DT taken in the draft based on how good he looks so far this year.  Finally healthy and is a hell of an athlete for being such a massive dude.

Zachary Carter RS SR DT/DE Florida

These are 3 guys that I've been keeping an eye on for the Raiders, we need a DT or a CB early. What're your thoughts on Leal and Elam?
