Post it if you have it....But this is why the team is almost always in the game when Jimmy plays because the dude does make big plays on big downs...But he's also a reason it is hard to put overmatched teams away since his inconsistency shows throughout the game.

But there is definitely something that clicks in his head on money downs and money situations. That throw to Deebo with a defender coming right at his face was sick (even a better catch by Deebo). I brought up the Sanu play but he has multiple plays like that every game. It just does not make sense.

I'm not sure how to get the image to copy on to the board. But he's basically between 20-28th in everything.

Not surprising at all. Though the sample size has been small but we all can see just how much of a grind it has been to score the last few games and a big part is Jimmy's inaccuracy on first and second downs.

So we are playing our kryptonite who has lost two straight games and need a win badly...Not good Jack!

The funny thing is that if you take it to the start of his 49ers career, it's pretty similar.

He's basdically *second* in most categories on third down (except air yards and cpoe, first in success rate) since 2017. Obviously, he doesn't have the sample size of most, but it's big enough all things considered. Mahomes is top in most.

On all other downs, he's basically league average since 2017 (except cpoe, where he's waaaaaaaaaay down)

Means very little since in obvious passing downs they get whipped like always. We have one dominant OL in pass pro in Williams and that's it. McGlinchey has played well so props to him but easy to be good in pass pro when your QB gets rid of the ball in like 2 seconds. When he has to hold it longer? We see what happens.

Not really. I think Jimmy is actually the most efficient QB on third downs so far as nutty as it seems. OL has to be doing something right then.

And how fast is he getting rid of the ball? All season those pass blocking efficiency numbers have been a mirage for the most part. It's like 2019 when people thought the OL was great at pass blocking but it wasn't.

On all snaps Jimmy averages 2.51 seconds for average time to throw. That ranks 6th for quarterbacks that have had at least 75 dropbacks.

Any offensive line that is asked to hold their blocks on longer developing routes or dropbacks isn't going to look as good/give up more pressure. Jimmy is probably just missing throws more so than the offensive line is failing at pass blocking.

McVay and Shanny continue drawing up plays getting receivers WIDE open...Stafford has been very good thus far and is lighting it up in terms of numbers, but a regression can be coming soon if the defenses are able to pick up what the Rams are trying to do. The Bears and Bucs games you have had receivers running WIDE OPEN 30-40 yards down the field and you hardly ever see that. Something to pay attention to going forward.

And also need to pay attention what Jimmy is able to do in the upcoming weeks. Right now he has flat out not taken advantage of good calls from Shanny and has been inaccurate on too many gimmies.

Did you see the one about McVay's september coaching?

No? But I'm guessing it is him lighting it up and coming down to earth a bit? Happened in 2018 and last year...I don't remember 2019.

The offense will not drop down to the mediocrity that it did with Goff at QB as Stafford is just flat out better. But watch how open Kupp and Jackson have been in some of those big plays. Defenses having some bad breakdowns but McVay is forcing DBs to make decisions that end up killing the defense.
