I would argue Atlanta is a more complete team than Jacksonville. They have no defense, but the offense in Atlanta is actually pretty damn good.

The Falcons were a great matchup for them. The things Miami does well, the Falcons actually could counter. The things the Falcons do well, Miami had trouble with. Flukiness of the Ryan INT and the Ryan fumble not withstanding, the Falcons just beat Miami. The game shouldn't have even been as close as it was.

I completely agree. And Sometimes, a team with a first year head coach underperforms because he's still learning. The Falcons 3 wins are because they played 3 objectively bad teams early on in the NY teams and Miami. Miami and Atlanta feel like the same level team right now, though. I thought they were better. The Falcons are objectively bad, but it's more because the defense is atrocious and the offense is still gelling and learning. While Miami is bad because they're just bad.

Again the Dolphins' defense persists on takeaways.  Without Ryan's fumble on the scramble late in the game, and with Atlanta's typical ability to move the ball on the Dolphins' defense, Atlanta likely drives the field and puts the nail in the coffin at 30-21 or 34-21 with only a few minutes to play, and Tua's late drive to make it 28-27 is then meaningless.

Agreed. They just run clock, kick the FG if they get stopped with like a minute left and win 30-21.

Atlanta is weird. Advanced stats say they are terrible but they have already won 3 games.

What happens when you take out the first two games as an "adjustment period" because they played their last 4 really competitively and looked good on offense, but terrible on defense in those.

You know the Dolphins had the lead with 3 seconds left, right? After driving down the field, trailing in the 4th quarter, and punched it in for the go-ahead TD. Good stuff.

Falcons then did a drive of their own. Tried to jinx their own kicker with a false-start penalty but the Atlanta kicker was too savvy to be tricked by Atlanta.

You do know the Falcons had two bad turnovers that were more bad luck than good defensive play right? That had Ridley not bobbled that ball or Ryan not held the ball wrong, the Falcons would have more than likely won 34-21 or better. That Matt Ryan drove down the field easily against your defense almost the entire day? that Kyle Pitts just made your defense look inept, the whole day? The Falcons have injuries all over the defense. What's the dolphins excuse?

Fins literally gave ya'll 10 points in that game. Wait make that 13 pts after the crap blocking on the FG attempt that was knocked down. Tua should've Waddled into the end zone more often, but that's how it goes. Shooting yourself in the foot is all part of the NFL and the Fins are good at shooting for the toes this season.

Really impressed by Pitts, it's a QB luxury to throw the ball up high and knowing your guy will probably get it. Fins have a DB that sort of fancies himself as a TE-stopper, except he doesn't actually stop TE's. Pitts made them all look inept.

At this low point, only hoping to see Tua get better, he's still basically a rookie and much to learn. Defense is a mess and no idea how to fix that. Regression sucks.
