Fun game to watch!

This would create another game of separation between us and the Packers. Essentially, we'd be 3 games up on GB with holding the head-to-head win. I know everyone says it's obvious GB won't be in contention, but it's still good to create separation early so that there's even less doubt about it.

Detroit has Cleveland next week. Probably would be better off getting more separation from Detroit. Plus GB can't get too high of a draft pick.

just seeing rodgers in gb gear on sidelines looming there for a potential return if they were mathematically alive is a problem, refs would return being in their pocket. i'll take another gb loss.

Safford is clearly the class QB in the NFCN and we are not done dealing with this DET team, which has a light remaining schedule

On the other hand, if Hundley doesn't win many games, they won't get as high of a pick for him if they trade him

The absence of Aaron Rodgers was not the Packers’ only problem on Monday night. Also a problem was Green Bay’s defense, which couldn’t stop the Lions.

Detroit only had eight offensive possessions. Those possessions went 71 yards for a touchdown, 34 yards for a missed field goal, 91 yards for a touchdown, 50 yards for a field goal, 20 yards ending with a fumble, 63 yards for a field goal, 75 yards for a touchdown and 33 yards for a field goal. The Lions were the first team in a year to go a full game without punting.

They are usually picking at the end of round one.

this is true. Kenny Clark looks promising. Damarious Randall is terrible, Nick Perry is kind of inconsistent, Clay Matthews is over the hill, Bulaga is injury prone, but great when healthy, Haha Clinton-Dix is pretty good.

they haven't done terribly. not great either. Ted Thompson is a massively overrated GM though.

And apparently Detroit hadn't done that since 1971.

AJ Hawk, Justin Harrell, BJ Raji, Clay Matthews, Bryan Bulaga, Derek Sherrod, Nick Perry, Datone Jones, Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Damarious Randall, and Kenny Clark are the 1st rounders under Thompson and McCarthy.

I’d say they’ve hit on roughly 50%. Which is probably average.
