J-ALL-DAY Posted March 14, 2022 Share Posted March 14, 2022 One thing I'm going to say about Jackson's deal and how he didn't break the bank....Cornerback is a VERY tough position and in today's NFL, it's too hard for even the best to be lockdown. We saw with Ramsey in the playoffs and he was far from the only top corner that has been treated like an average joe on the field. Teams can spread you out and take away some help and with the rules favoring the offense, it makes it extremely difficult on the corners to be as effective. Pretty much just as important to have versatile safeties that can come up and cover in the slot. Really curious to see the type of deal Davis will be getting. Well if we are trying to sign Gilmore for a reasonable contract, we better do it prior to the Jags. Especially if they start throwing money at Williams like they did with Kirk!
