Immediately hate it for GB. Two 1sts for the right to pay a guy $30 million a year? No thanks.

That second round would be cool though. I like both of those guys

Samuel is in that echelon of WR1. He'll get less then Adams. Yall all in, with Rodgers on his final stretch in this mock

I could see GB trading one of those 1st rounders, but not both of them.plus, his massive contract.

Most likely scenario, if GB trades for Deebo?

Their 28th pick, 53rd pick in the 2nd Rd. (GB has another 2nd rounder @59) Then possibly a day 3 pick.

GB then either takes the player they want at #22 (I have them taking WR Drake London) or, they trade down & possibly recoup some draft capital.

Possibly, I'm sure I could send less but didnt want to mull over the value. Diggs went for 2020 1(22), 5 round, 6th and 2021 4th rounder.

Hindsight is great on Diggs but I think Samuel is better then Diggs was at the time. Nothing differs contractually

8. Atlanta Falcons - Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Horrible pick. The Falcons need a QB and they have a QB sitting right there in Willis. They would go Willis over Wilson 10 times out of 10.

Here is where you go WR with Pickens

It's way too early in the team building process for Atlanta to take a RB this high. Go Leal or a DL or a EDGE or something that they actually need for this year.

The WR shelf is  pretty bare. If I thought Willis was a top 10 QB I'd probably mock him the Carolina at 6. I dont like any of the QBs in this class. Pickett and Willis have both been linked to Carolina and Willis with Saints. I think Falcons will build up in anticipation of adding a QB next year. Wilson, Ridley, Pitts and Walker at the skilled positions already would be nice for whoever steps in next year.

In this scenario Saints jump ahead to secure Willis, anticipating Panthers taking him

The EDGE Shelf is equally as bare. Lorenzo Carter, Adetokunbo Ogundeji and JAmes Vaughters aren't scaring anyone.

The Falcons have shown a lot of interest in Willis as well. Ridley is probably gone. Wilson is the same kind of guy as Ridley though. The Falcons don't need to continue building with WRs that DONT FIT WHAT THE HEAD COACH WANTS. Getting skill positions is pointless when the lines need work. The Falcons don't need to waste 8 on a WR who isn't worth the pick when the edge group is as terrible as it is.

What is with people in here who don't want to listen to the guys who actually follow these teams and know these teams?

You make a good point, go that route in your mock.. What's with grown men getting so upset over other peoples mock drafts in this forum lol. I mean, Garrett Wilson is commonly mocked to Atlanta at 9. Probably more so then Willis from my observation

Sorry my mock triggered you my man, I honestly didnt mean too.

It's not that you made bad picks. It's that you followed them up with reasoning that makes absolutely no sense and show you just copied picks from other dude's mocks instead of putting the work in. The reasoning is bad because you ignore what is easily the worst position on the Falcons roster to give them a RB (they have enough talent there to bridge a year to build the lines) a S (see RB, but think front 7) and WR (when 2 EDGES and a QB are available that are easily better and are bigger needs)

You'll be happy you passed on a QB this year. I dont go off "other peoples mocks" I actually did this on PFF and transferred it to here.

Again you make a good point. Mariota isn't the long term answer, everyone knows that. Some team will gamble on Willis. I dont think itll be Atlanta.

Truth be told the Falcons are trash with holes all over. I think they take a WR. Jermaine Johnson had consideration. Malik Willis did not.

QB aside for a second because I have no idea what the Falcons are thinking there, I think WR at 8 is a possibility. Most fans will hate it, but that doesn't mean it's not an option. And don't get me wrong, I see why fans don't want a WR after years of having elite WR's but continuing to fall short. I get it, I really do. At 8 though, unless someone unexpectedly falls, the options are rather limited. You could be looking at your choice of WR, Johnson, Stingley, and Hamilton as the best available players in that range.

If they like Johnson, that makes a lot of sense. Good value and hits the biggest need. With that being said, Johnson seems to be hit or miss with some people. We have no idea if he's high on the Falcons board or not. And just like WR, DE is deep.

I could see them falling in love with someone like Jameson Williams or Drake London, and having one of those guys higher on their board than Johnson. I do agree though, I personally wouldn't bet on Wilson. Just a gut read from me, but if they take a WR at 8 I think it'll be Williams or London who each bring their own unique elite traits. For example, if you think London is the next Mike Evans, you grab him at 8.

Ultimately, we're all just guessing here based on the limited information we have. Wilson at 8 confirmed.
