Bucketheadsdad
Does this mean that Clowney isn't coming back?

MWil23
He makes sense. At least he’s young, big, and has potential
Kiwibrown
Wright is a big, physical edge who is only just starting to tap into his NFL-ready frame. He earned a 91.1 pass-rushing grade in 2021.https://www.pff.com/nfl/players/alex-wright/98318/draft-profile

Reginaldm9
This is the kind of pick who I can see the FO/coaching staff stash on the IR all year long to essentially redshirt him even though he just has an ankle sprain or whatever.
Kiwibrown
Reminds me of the Jordan Elliot pick, a way to go.
brownie man
Did not know UAB Runs a 3 man front. So Wright wasn’t truly asked to play the edge. Also found out he strained his pec during the bench press which explained the 15 reps. The little things you find out with the interviews
BetterCallSaul
This kid is a future star. Upside for days, but actually has a lot in his toolbox as a pass rusher. Knows how to use his length to stack and shed. Gets skinny through gaps on stunts and angles. Overwhelms OTs with his physical gifts and overall hand and body quickness. He’s the starting base LDE when Clowney leaves (I’m assuming he’s back in ‘22).
philly3k
Can he play inside for us? I see he played in a 3-4.

They said they see him as a base end that can kick inside, same as Clowney and Garrett.
