was hoping Gardner would be part of the X-Men team

Had seen her in a lot of those fancasts, who did you want her to play?

Only one I felt/feel strongly about is Victoria Pedretti as Jean. Most of the others pretty open. That would be if we are getting a late 20s/early 30s team for the most part.

******* love Bernthal

Such good casting.  They really hit it out of the park with him as Punisher.  He's got the sort of perfect mix for the role.

idk who Julia Garner is even.  But she's no Jessica Alba.  That's for sure.

Well that was some X-men episode

If they have the stones to not bring people back from something like that willy nilly, this show could be great.  Big IF though.

Spoiler

Gambit went out like a mother ******* boss.  If they cheapen that to just still have his character in the show, then the show is ultimately doomed.  Make it a 3-5 season run and if someone dies, they stay dead.  That show could be great.  Also, don't bring back Xavier either.  Magneto can still be alive given what happened.

Spoiler

Gambit comes back either through time travel or as a horseman of apocalypse. You can’t leave the Cajun dead.

Xavier is 100% coming back this season.

If true, then this show will have no balls and no real stakes.

Then so has every comic book ever. Nothing is ever permanent. Maybe they use another universe such Age of Apocalypse. Rachel Summers needs to join this chaos.

This doesn't have to be permanent though.  3-5 seasons, tops for a streaming show, after that you can just reset everything in a new series.  This continuity doesn't have to last forever, to have no stakes in this story is to gut it.

I disagree with no stakes.

Spoiler

We know that Storm will get her powers back. Does that story have no meaning?

Kind of, so far it hasn't accomplished much other than introducing Forge.  Being hit by a ray that sapped your powers seems a lot more fixable than being re-alived after dying.  Losing powers, getting them right back, dying, nope all good, dead for months/years? No problem.  This seems to be the very definition of no stakes.

That’s just a problem with the comic book world. Nothing last forever.
