From the Eagles Forum

Before someone post Allen's jump in numbers in comparison 1,500 more yds, 17 more TD thrown,  instead of 900/14, please don't. Thanks

30 TD seems like a lot  but he definitely has the pieces around him.

I'd love to know the amount of TD dropped and taken off the board due to penalties last season? That was throwing to future HOF'RS like Jalen Reagor, JJAW, John Hightower and Greg Ward.

I know for a Fact he had 3TD passes taken away in the Chiefs game alone do to penalties. We'll see?

Lol no disrespect! I just meant they should be favored in all of those games by 5+ points and when looking at a schedule in May you gotta try to assume some stuff.

The Bills are 12-1 against the AFC east teams the past two seasons and the lone loss was the wind game where Mac threw the ball like 3 times.

I do agree the Jets and Dolphins both improved and the Patriots will always be a top half of the league team.

Oh Buffalo will easily take the division. It is a different way we used to do it though, we tended to struggle disproportionately within division. Usually Miami, but the occasional massive NYJ performance too. You seem to buck the trend that division games are 'different'. Maybe that will come, maybe you'll continue to stomp us

They are favored in 17 of 17 games so there's that. We also have a pretty easy division that I think they'll go 6-0 in. Then we play the NFC North (should be 3 W's vs the lions, bears, vikings) and we play GB in Buffalo. We'll see!

Might depend on where you look, but right now, the Bills are underdogs in week one

Yeah I think it all depends what book or website you're looking at. I've never heard of Tipico sportsbook but FanDuel sportsbook has it at Bills -1 (-105) and -110 ML. Essentially a pick em and I feel like that's where it'll end up before gametime.

Interesting. Everything I've seen has the Rams favored right now.

The Bills had arguably the easiest schedule in the league last year and went 11-6 - and were probably favored in most games around this time of year too. You have more confidence than I would in a team that grossly underachieved last year.

It's not just me, Vegas has Buffalo as the super bowl favorite on every site you look at. I can see you're trying to engage but it's all good I didn't know me saying the Bills are favorites would get you so riled up.

Not riled up? Just commenting that you have more confidence than I would for a team that underachieved as much as they did last year.

My bookie has the Bills favored by 1 point against the Rams week 1.

For Super Bowl odds they have:

Bills: +650

Buccaneers: +750

Chiefs: +950

Rams: +1,100

Like I said, it's not me it's all the sports odd makers too? Underachieve? The Bills were 0-5 in 1 score games and historical data and history shows that 1 score games are a crap shoot and typically average out to .500.

In their 11 wins they beat every team by 10+ points. Then Allen dominated the postseason and put himself as a top 3 QB in the league. Call it whatever you want but acting like I'm pumping up a team that doesn't deserve the hype is stupid? lol.

No one knows how the regular season will go but the Bills deserve the hype. They had the number 1 D last season and added Von Miller + Tre'Davious White (injured) + a 1st round CB to their D. Their O has been ranked 2nd and 3rd the last two seasons in scoring and shouldn't go anywhere as Allen is only 25 and improving.

The Bills deserve some hype - but not to the level they're getting. Certainly should not be favorites over the Chiefs in the AFC given that the Chiefs have bounced them two years in a row. I'll believe it when I see it.

As for that defense - take a look at this "elite" list of QBs that they played last year:

Roethlisberger

Brissett

Heinicke

Davis Mills

Mahomes

Tannehill

Tua

Lawrence

Mike White

Wentz

Siemian

Mac

Brady

Newton

Mac

Ryan

They played three legitimate QBs all year long - Tannehill, Mahomes and Brady. They went 1-3 in those games, but the interesting part? They gave up 20, 33, 34 and 42 points when they faced those QBs. So how good are they? No clue. Seems to me that when they faced an decent QB, they're actually just a bad defense. Von certainly is not the same guy he used to be, so unless he's joining some already elite pass rushers, not sure how much that will move the needle, and I don't see an elite pass rusher there.

This year they play Mahomes and Tannehill - Rodgers instead of Brady - and then Stafford, Jackson, Watson, Cousins and Burrow - all five would have been BY FAR the fourth best QB they faced last year.

Their roster isn't any better than the Chiefs, Packers, Bucs or Rams.

So I agree that they deserve some hype - they are one of the best five teams in the league and they are a definite Super Bowl contender. But right now, I'd put those five teams at equal Super Bowl odds.

I think that's a fair point to make. FWIW I think the Bills deserve to be the pre-season AFC Favorites.

But I also think that it's also fair to point out that the Bills had one of the easier SOS in the league last year and it projects to be quite a bit tougher this year.

But let's also be real - the Bills are very bipolar. If they put up stinkers against the really good teams like they did against the Jags and Colts (or even Steelers) last year they'll just get blown out.
