No way they get bailed out with only one 1st for this potential trade.  Gotta be both 2027 and 2029.

Kyrie - Harris - LeBron - Davis - ???

How lol

ETA: Also hilarious that the Lakers are asking for Curry and taking back Harris is a discussion point for them.

If the Nets do this trade it’s a pure clear money off the books

I'd imagine they get the 2027/2029 firsts. Doesn't seem like a deal is imminent though or like anything happens until if/when they move Durant.

Nets picks thru 29’ (7-year rule) if they get every available unprotected pick/swap from the Suns/Lakers for KD/Kyrie:

23’ own (HOU can swap)

23’ PHX (unprotected)

24’ PHX (swap)

25’ PHX (unprotected)

25’ LAL swap

28’ own

Supposedly ppl are worried about him even being able to play basketball again. Injury concern.

The Lakers can't trade their 2025 or 2026 1st round pick. The Pelicans have the right to defer their 2024 pick to 2025 so they can't trade 2026 because it'd mean they potentially traded 1sts in consecutive years. They can only start moving picks in 2027.

As the Pelicans I think the most I would consider offering for KD would be Jonas or CJ (who they would probably flip) 2023 Lakers pick, Jaxson Hayes, Dyson Daniels.

Lots of young pieces we could throw in if Griff was desperate (Kira, Liddle, Trey Murphy, Herb, more picks) but I think this is about the max as I could consider giving up. Definitely not Ingram

So they can do 26/28’ swaps and 27/29’ 1sts from LA.  Nets also have a protected first from Philly.

CP will be 38 next season and KD is two years removed from his Achilles year.  The 25-29’ Suns could be the 15-19’ Suns.

They can’t trade a 2026 pick or swap until 2024 when they know if the Pelicans will take 2024 or 2025.

Nets are doing the Lakers a favor by taking back Russ and sending Kyrie during what could be LeBron’s final year in LA.

There’s no way in hell the nets take back Westbrook for kyrie. Do the lakers even have any picks to trade soon? Even if they did why would the nets want some picks in the 20s

They can't trade a 1st until 2027.

There’s no GM in the league with job security good enough to trade for picks starting 5 years from now. Lebron Westbrook and kyrie could be retired by that point.

That'd be the hope in trading for those picks, that the Lakers aren't very good. Which isn't far fetched as LeBron's career wears down and they have limited draft capital.
