Notes from Pete Sweeney. Apparently CEH did not know that he was listed PUP.

Some random observations about day #2. The WR are showing off and the defense is still sorting pieces.

These are vid-tweets. Lots of catches but also some DB play. The big guys will get their day soon enough.

Roderick Johnson starting at LT, lets see how long that lasts through camp

Still going there. Thuney claims to be impressed. When he came out five years ago he was considered raw and still growing into his body. Some had him second day but he lasted to round #5. It would not be the first time the Texans didn't develop talent.

Joshua Williams continues to draw comments. He may not start but Williams is looking like a significant piece.

Sooo Frank decided to quit drinking. Good on him but part of me is a bit salty he's been getting wrecked and dealing with stomach issues at the same time. Like, "you don't see the correlation there bud?".

Idk I'm glad he's making better choices for himself. Hope there's a resurgence coming.

We have a lot of good pieces but this defense is going to be tested early and often.

I’m just going to state it again… Drafting GK may be the best move of the entire offseason.

You may be right or it may not have been the best move of the draft.

Personally, I am leaning to signing Justin Reid as the best move. He stepped into some very big shoes.

Here's a summary of all the moves

I'm thinking he needs money. I'm thinking he sees GK coming on strong sooner than later and he sees himself at an earlier age. I'm thinking he f^^ked up himself and the Chiefs for too long.

One thing I like from Clark us he'll be honest. He was open about his struggles and spoke about his deep heart to heart with Reid. He knows he's out if he does perform this year.

Clark was going really well for a while last season, but he tailed off. I think the workload got to him. He wasn't in top shape, then he dealt with injuries, and his habits drained whatever reserves might have been there. Now we add Karlaftis, Dana, and Dunlap for a reasonable rotation group. Clark getting 60% of the snaps will be much better than Clark getting 75%.

One thing I find encouraging is that the run defense looks so much better. Bolton and Gay are enormously better than Hitchens and Wilson of 2-3 years ago. Chenal is a run thumping beast. Even when we go to a nickel set, we will be bringing in Cook, Johnson, or Williams. All three DB can play run support.

A little quicker than I expected.

This was also posted in the talent acquisition thread.

My guess is that this was just a veteran wanting to skip the part of camp which was noncontact. Now that pads are on, things get serious.
