I like Charbonnet, just not as much as you I guess. I was explaining why he was available in round #4. Most years he's top 50.

You're drafting a DT in the first. What is your assumption on the guys currently on the roster? Nnadi, Wharton ... do they return? DE in the 2nd. What about Clark? Retained or not? Or doesn't it matter for your draft? That's what I mean if I say "context"!

That's what I mean if I say "context"! Every draft I've done is different. In this case, I've drafted a DT (Ika) because the currently rotated DT's couldn't stop the EAGLES Oline at all. I'm assuming Chiefs coaching saw the same thing and will adjust (ie. release) players accordingly. I have no affinity for Nnadi or Wharton. DE. I chose Andre Carter II, and McGuire. I expect Clark to NOT be retained. We need younger, fresher, (cheaper) legs. Edited February 16, 2023 by mayanfootball
onejayhawk
Bleh. Rankings are not getting updated ahead of the Combine. First a robo-draft. It does not completely suck. 31: R1 P31 S Antonio Johnson - Texas A&M 63: R2 P32 EDGE Dylan Horton - TCU 95: R3 P32 OT Tyler Steen - Alabama 122: R4 P20 RB Sean Tucker - Syracuse 134: R4 P32 LB SirVocea Dennis - Pittsburgh This time for value after round #1. This what went in front of us--28 DL Siaki Ika, 29 OT Broderick Jones, 30 EDGE Lukas Van Ness. Give me any of them. 31: R1 P31 OT Anton Harrison - Oklahoma 63: R2 P32 EDGE Keion White - Georgia Tech 95: R3 P32 DL Karl Brooks - Bowling Green 122: R4 P20 DE Adetomiwa Adebawore - Northwestern 134: R4 P32 RB Roschon Johnson - Texas One more, same settings. 31: R1 P31 DL Siaki Ika - Baylor 63: R2 P32 EDGE Keion White - Georgia Tech 95: R3 P32 TE Tucker Kraft - South Dakota State 122: R4 P20 OT Wanya Morris - Oklahoma 134: R4 P32 S Ji'Ayir Brown - Penn State
mayanfootball
The majority of posters have declared that KC should add to the Dline as a priority. Site=PFN. No trade draft 31. Felix Anudike-Uzomah, Edge, Kansas State 63. Mazi Smith, DT, Michigan 95. Matthew Bergeron, OT, Syracuse 122. Cameron Latu, TE, Alabama 134. Jalen Graham, LB, Purdue
kingseanjohn
Assumptions: Non-Exclusive Franchise Tag (intent to trade): Orlando Brown Jr Walks: JuJu, Dunlap, Nnadi, Wylie, Hardman, Allegretti, RoJo, Bell, Bush, Harris Re-sign: Burton, McKinnon, Thornhill, Justin Watson, Saunders, Townsend, Wharton, Fortson, Buechele, Tega Wanogho, Williams Extensions (cap space): Jones, Clark -- I wish we'd get a heard start on key 2024 free agents but we seem to wait for whatever reason. My rank in order of offseason needs: OL, DL, WR, LB, S, TE, RB, CB, QB I'm using PFN for this draft, no trades. 31. Anton Harrison, OT Oklahoma - Easy pick. Day one starting OT. 63. Calijah Kancey, DL Pittsburgh - I still say he should go mid-round 1. 95. Cameron Latu, TE Alabama - I'm still high on Noah Gray. But the board sucked, the talent is there, and Fortson can't stay healthy. 122. Wanya Morris, OT Oklahoma - Another bad board. Morris can compete with Harrison, Niang, and Tega Wanogho leaving us with cheap quality depth. 134. Mike Morris, DL Michigan - Rotational guy who could take over Danna's role in 2024. 168. Jonathan Mingo, WR Ole Miss - This is the first time I watched any tape. This guy shouldn't go this late. Someone is going to get a steal. 197. Atonio Mafi, OG UCLA - Someone else to develop. Thuney will be 31 and costs 22+mil a year. Trey Smith is a couple years out from a pay day. We need to develop a replacement for one of the two; if not both. 217. Xavier Henderson, S Michigan State - Special teamer and depth player. 219. Malik Cunningham, QB Louisville - Depth guy who we can hopefully develop and trade in the future for higher picks. 227. Charlie Thomas, S/LB Georgia Tech - I think he could be a potential replacement for Willie Gay after a year or developing. We can't pay everyone. Plus, his skill set could allow for more flexible coverage disguises. 251. Derek Parish, Edge Houston - Special teamer and depth. 257. Travis Dye, RB USC - Special teamer and depth. Final 53 man roster (no order): Quote QB: Mahomes, Buechele, Cunningham -- 3 RB: CEH, Pacheco, McKinnon, Dye, Burton -- 5 WR: MVS, Toney, Moore, Watson, Mingo, Ross (if healthy, otherwise one of Fryfogle/Smith-Marsette) -- 6 TE: Kelce, Gray, Fortson, Latu -- 4 OL: Thuney, Humphrey, Smith, Niang, Kinnard, Tega Wanogho ,Harrison, Morris, Mafi -- 9 DL: Jones, Clark, Danna, Karlaftis, Kancey, Wharton, Saunders, Parish, Morris, Williams -- 10 LB: Gay, Bolton, Chenal, Thomas -- 4 DB: McDuffie, Sneed, Williams, Watson, Reid, Thornhill, Cook, Henderson, Johnson -- 9 ST: Butker, Townsend, Winchester -- 3 Edited February 20, 2023 by kingseanjohn done
mayanfootball
No Edge until 134, 251?....Dunno 'bout that. Seems a priority to me.
RedGold
Atta boy @kingseanjohn Mingo has been a fave of mine since October. Needs a ton of work as a pure WR, But love his fit immediately as a gadget guy.

I believe that Kancey at 63 and Morris at 134 will both move all along the line, including at edge. I just labeled Parish differently because I don't think he'll successfully play inside at all. With where we pick and the draft class, I don't think we're going to be getting a pure edge in the 1st this year.

I wonder why his overall stats aren't higher based on what I saw. I don't know Ole Miss well enough, and frankly don't care enough, to put in the effort to find out. Hopefully someone does though. Watched him in a SEC game, forget who. Dropped passes. A little sluggish. Not for me.

Great highlight vid guy. Incredible athlete, with just solid speed. Rough around the edges, but great once he has the ball in his hands. Laviska Shenault is a great comp imo. Just if he can develop more as a pure WR, that offense is doodoo scheme wise. He will need coached up

Powell was never a threat with the ball, even in college. And also came from a Clemson offense that showcased more NFL traits. Powell is on the lower end of athleticism for NFL WR’s that don’t have great size. His ceiling was a solid depth guy from the start.
