It looks like we’re gonna have a decent cheap backup QB for the next 3 years.

He has the arm talent but has the awareness you would expect a 7th round rookie to have. I don't think he's seeing the field very well, but that's correctable.

It's really too bad that Bridgewater hasn't been at all what we paid for. The pundits all saying he was supposed to push Tua for a starting job is absolutely laughable. If Bridgewater was the high end backup we hoped he would be, we may win an extra game or two.

All things considered, we put up a heck of a fight. 3rd string QB. Banged up DBs. Practice squad o lineman. Terron Armstead is held together by paperclips and gum at this point, etc. We played better than anyone thought we would have. That game was winnable. While it's frustrating to lose a winnable game, the fact that we were in it at all says a lot about the character of our guys out there today.

Skyler looked good when it was a bang - bang play but as soon as the first and second read was not there he looked lost, that can get better with time, he seemed calm and in control for the most part. I would be O.K with Skyler at backup next season at this point. I have zero faith in Tua making it through a whole season so my concern at this point is the starting QB position and Skyler is not the answer for that.

100% this.  We had no business competing today, given how undermanned we were due to injuries.   Very pleased with the effort given and proud of the way this team fought.

How bad is Michael Deiter that he has been passed over at guard by a guy that was just activated off the practice squad???

Pretty bad.  He's better at C than OG IMO, but he's only still on the roster b/c Grier drafted him and is undoubtedly giving him every opportunity to prove he was right by using a pick on him.

If we clean up the dropped passes and the pre snap penalties, including the delay of games, we probably win.  Seems crazy but I think it's accurate.
