Moseley and Okudah could come off the books next season. Good depth signing.

Sounds like one of those coming off an injury guys like Chark was last year. Had a solid 5 games before tearing his knee with allowing a 43.6 passer rating through 5 games. Only 1 TD allowed over the last two years but he has missed at least 5 games every year since 2020.
Louis Friend
Btw, another 5'11 190lbs CB. Guess Holmes doesn't check his combine measurements before making these deals.

He might do well in a limited role. It will also help to have another experienced CB to help out any CBs we draft.

No way we get him without that injury. Good for us to see what he's got while keeping CB draft options open. If he stays healthy... Lions could have a little depth in the secondary.

I like it a lot given we have always struggled with depth. We have a much better top 4 CBs this year and likely will add one or two through the draft still. I am all for these budget, short term, prove it deals.

Maybe I am reading too much into things but after signing Cam Sutton and Emmanuel Mosley prior to a draft that has a really deep CB class, it seems like the Lions may move on from Jeff Okudah much sooner than most folks expect. The could still take a CB at #6 or #18 but it would probably push Jerry Jacobs to #3/slot CB position. General Tso
Sutton / Mosely / Okudah / Jacobs / Harris CB room getting crowded. I still think we might draft one, but it might not be the first round anymore. I like Emmanuel Forbes in the 2nd round. He's a gamer. He might have "it" that Campbell is looking for. dnely17
John Cominskey back on a 2 year 8.5 mil deal. Thoughts?

It was integral to our pass rush last season. Once again, not locked up long term though. So if we draft/develop, we can move on. Now let's re-sign Jamaal!!

There is a chance we could, but also these are all short term deals with Okudah, Moseley and Jacobs all having contracts end after this year, assuming we don't pick up that fifth year option. Moving on from Okudah doesn't save us any money so unless we trade him, he will have until the end of pre-season at least to prove himself.
