He told the Packers weeks ago he would like to play for the Jets and they still don't have a deal lined up. Rodgers just made it clear it's jets or retirement Wentz was coming off of a terrible season where he led the league in interceptions despite not even playing the last few games. There was not a huge market for him at all, the Eagles were compensated what they were because they had to eat a ton of dead cap for a trade to happen. They can say no for as long as they feel like it and yes it hurts them a little bit in cap and compensation but that's nothing compared to Rodgers (forced early retirement) and the Jets (tanks their season completely).
