What's Aaron Rodgers trade value?

Wentz got traded for a FRP but people think Rodgers trade value is only on par with Darnold and Rosen.

It was a 2nd that became a 1st.

Also that coach who wanted him got fired, so how's that decision look in hindsight?

They're not going to pay Rodgers to sit, aren't players severely punished for holding out now?

I agree, I also think it's going to cost a pretty significant price to get a deal done.

Rodgers wouldn't hold out. He would show up to camp and be as big of a pain the *** as humanly possible.

It's a game of chicken. Someone will fold first. This idea that the Packers have some unique leverage though is simply not true.

If Love comes out and Balls and they are paying Rodgers to sit on the bench the fans will be furious they didn't move Rodgers to make the team better.

If the Packers have their QB of the future and they’re playing well, the GM’s going to be on the hot seat because he didn’t take that 2nd or 3rd round pick? Riiight…

So what happened to the narrative that Rodgers was holding the Jets hostage? He told the Packers weeks ago he would like to play for the Jets and they still don't have a deal lined up. When players do this they are divas, when the front office does it its good business.

Yeah you're bat **** if you think he's worth more than Wentz was in that trade. Wentz was worth significantly more at the time of that deal than rodgers is now because he actually had a market, unlike rodgers who has 1 potential destination in the Jets. And it's not like Wentz wasn't down to return to Philly. They just wanted to move on. Rodgers just made it clear it's jets or retirement

Wentz was coming off of a terrible season where he led the league in interceptions despite not even playing the last few games. There was not a huge market for him at all, the Eagles were compensated what they were because they had to eat a ton of dead cap for a trade to happen.

I think Jordan Love's performance will determine if he's on the hot seat or not. The Packers ownership / front office understand that Rodgers is a pain to deal with.

And frankly living in Wisconsin Rodgers isn't nearly as beloved as Favre was during his debacle. Gute is not under the same pressure with Rodgers as he would have been with Favre.

Paying Rodgers to sit on the bench while Love starts is best for the organization? I have serious doubts that is the case.

That will never happen, we'll play poker until TC if we have to, and if the Jets are willing to wait that long, we'll tip our cap to them and agree to the deal.

Not unique but they do have some. Which team has their 2023 starting QB on their roster? Packers or Jets? If it came down to it the Packers could send Rodgers home.

Because FOs are responsible for roster movement, not players. Rodgers signed a contract.

The packers have plenty of leverage. They can say no for as long as they feel like it and yes it hurts them a little bit in cap and compensation but that's nothing compared to Rodgers (forced early retirement) and the Jets (tanks their season completely).
