WizardHawk
Going to be interesting to see what kind of market Carr has. Couple of teams that have already been rumored to be in the mix, NO and TB, both have cap hurdles to clear. Not sure how I feel about that move for Arizona.
plan9misfit
Rumor has it that the Eagles are preparing to offer Jalen Hurts a 5-year extension with salary at $50M AAV and $200M in guaranteed money. Enjoy watching your team fall apart, guys.

The only downside is that hurts contract is up at the perfect time for the eagles in that it coincides with new tv deal and expected cap increase. They should be able to play with the money a little bit over 5 years.

And now it’s not even a secret, NFL Network citing sources that say the Ravens will consider a trade in exchange for a “windfall of draft picks.” https://www.si.com/nfl/ravens/.amp/news/lamar-jackson-trade-breaking-baltimore-ravens-tempted-to-move-qb-for-windfall-picks-rumor-free-agent-contract This is how you handle a sometimes brilliant, sometimes pitiful, all times polarizing QB that is somewhere in the fringe top 10-15. Tag and trade. Keep your cap free, and receive a bounty of picks.

DaBoys
Idk…. No first rounder for 2024 or 2025!? Eeeeshhh… I guess Carter, Stroud, and JSN would be nice but ooof… Pairing Stroud back with JSN would be nice, and we would finally get a blue chip QB. I guess I couldn’t complain

Hell even the trades are horrible! I’m not giving up 3 firsts to take a D-Lineman unless he is multi-generational!!
DaBoys
People keep forgetting Dak has a certain clause in his contract that makes things difficult.

Not if he waives it. the biggest obstacle is CAP ramifications on a trade. 88 mil in dead cap space makes a trade a non starter unless the trading team agrees to taking on some of the bonus in the contract. DaBoys
1 hour ago, textaz03 said: Not if he waives it. Like I said, it makes things difficult. For instance, Carr had the same clause in his contract. Carrs’ career stats are very similar to Dak. Lower career TD% and CMPL%, but higher career Passer Rating and ANY/A. He isn’t completely undesirable, yet the Raiders had to cut him. Getting two parties to agree on a trade is hard. Getting three is even more so. Furthermore why would Seattle make that trade? Geno isn’t that much older than Dak, performed better this year than Dak in the regular season and against the 49ers in the playoffs. You really think Seattle is looking at Daks last two playoff performances against their hated divisional rival and saying, “oh yeah! We need that here!” ? They can probably sign Geno for less or similar to what they’d inherit from Daks contract, and at least have a shot against SF. In Genos’ 3 games against SF his lowest cmpl% was 70.45 and had a 3:2 TD:INT. Daks last two games against SF his highest Cmpl% is 62.16 and has a 2:3 TD:INT Seattle doesn’t want Dak.
