Pats get JC Jackson back

I repeat yet again. I hope we never sign a former Patriot or Ram. Never works outs for us except for rare exceptions.

I think it works out where the Patriots get him this season for 2m or so and he has cap it’s of 14m the next 3 years but no guaranteed money outside a roster bonus.

Chargers accelerate all of his signing bonus into next year so whoever the new GM/HC is will inherit 16m or so of dead cap for the JC Jackson experiment.

You damn well Telesco isnt going anywhere and will be here either with Staley or choosing his 4th HC to pair with Herbert.

Seriously. The team would have to really bottom out for them to get fired. It is also 50/50 thing with TT and John Spanos. This isn’t an AJ thing, where he is running the show. Hell, even the 4th down/analytics stuff is an organization thing and not just Staley.

I feel like Staley’s former guys have worked out more for us than when he goes outside his sphere of influence: SJD, Callahan, Fox etc.

The 4th down stuff is definitely Staley and not the organization.

They started building an analytics team but it’s still up to the HC to use it. Otherwise Lynn would have done it more during his tenure. Analytics has grown more under Staley.

A warm body in the DB room is more than NE had a day ago, so….

I guess the flier is worth it on the tiny chance he joins the “plays well in NE, leaves, sucks, gets cut/traded back, plays well for a year or two” trend. Meh.

Yep. I was about to say that SJD is a good player, and I'm sad we lost him.
