Hey, we all got our start somewhere... as a kid of the late 80's I grew up designing plays and schemes in a notebook and then running them out with my trading cards on the living room floor.  I didn't upgrade to digital till Tecmo Bowl lol

lol maybe it came off as an unintended sleight, but I bet "kid playing madden" would probably be a top 3 game management coordinator his first year.

I started teaching my son how to play Madden at a young age and one of the first "lessons" after the basics was "clock management" lol

Dan Quinn, Kliff Kingsbury and now Brian Johnson.

Feels like this is an underwhelming start to the Adam Peters GM era

Dan Quinn is honestly not as bad as a hire as I feel people are making it. People are painting it as Ron Rivera 2.0 but I just don't see it - he's shown far more as a coach than Rivera, and was probably due for another chance. It's not the choice I would've made, but it could definitely work out.

Brian Johnson in a non-OC role is a good hire. While Kliff is a baffling hire, he may find more success as a coordinator than a HC. Meanwhile, being able to poach Whitt as DC from the Cowboys too was fantastic.

Already hired Kliff as OC so what made up title can you give to your new QB's Coach thats no longer a OC?

Assistant HC of QB's?

If I had to guess "Passing Game Coordinator/QBs". Although Assistant HC is another good guess.

Here's the thing about Quinn / Kingsbury - if they don't work out, Peters will move on after 2+ seasons.     Given it's very clear WAS & Johnson had a last-minute breakup, and the other top O guys in this year's cycle were retained (Slowik) or went elsewhere, Peters basically took the best available HC option....and then wasn't left with great options at OC.      Either way, the FO likely knows this wasn't even close to plan A, so there will be far more forgiveness for Peters if this doesn't work out.

If it works out, great.  But if not, GM-wise you know Peters will get a 2nd, even a 3rd chance to get it right.    If things went down as advertised, he'll probably get a free pass on this one, too.

Quinn isn't a terrible choice if you need an org to start over.   Game management is a massive issue, and obv KK as OC will be heavily under the microscope.   He's good in a lot of areas that the org needs right now, though.  It's just that it's not likely the franchise-definining moment, like SF-Shanny or LA-McVay.  For Peters, though, he will almost certainly get 1-2 more chances to hit that home run if things fall apart.
