The removal of seeding priority for division winners would have made a huge difference for the Browns who got blown out today.

The Browns as the 3 seed would have still played the Texans, but they would have done it at home where they went 8-1 this season, best in the AFC and second-best overall behind Dallas. In contrast, the Browns were only 3-5 on the road.

Or, the continued injuries to the offensive line and Chubb made a huge difference in the Browns blowout loss.  They got curb-stomped.  If you absolutely need the weather to help you win, then you probably didn't belong in the playoffs to begin with.

Cry me a River with this BS! The Browns didn't deserve a home playoff game, just like the Philadelphia Eagles.

If you can beat what you believed to be an inferior team on the road (NEED TO BE AT HOME) ala Dallas, maybe you aren't or weren't as good as you originally thought.

Like Dallas.

Joe throwing pick 6's and TO's  is why you lost, not playing in Houston.

I used to think the same but divisional games are always difficult and they already make the schedule based on record last year so winning your bad division definitely hurts you next if you are really “not that good”

Heck the 3 NFC South teams were .500 or better against each other sans the Panthers

Seeding priority for division winners was very problematic during the 2015 MLB season as well.

The top three teams in the NL that year all came from the Central Division, but only the champion Cardinals were afforded a first round bye. And because of how the playoffs were structured, the Cubs, who won the Wild Card game, had to face the Cardinals in the NLDS. Meanwhile the two weaker division winners in the NL, the Dodgers and the Mets, got to avoid the NL Central until the NLCS. It worked to the Mets' advantage as they swept the Cubs, who rebounded and won their first World Series in 108 years the following year.

Everything else on that hill is dead.  It's about to get nuked.
