That I can't answer. This is the type of sh1t that happens to us though lol.

100%. Feels weird to be on this end of it. Let’s face it.. if Dallas was called for this the outcry would be less. We’d be hearing about the discipline of the team, how it shouldn’t have come down to that call, etc.

I’m so torn on McCarthy right now.  He’s got Dak playing better than ever.  But the dude just makes some of the dumbest dumbarse decisions I’ve ever seen.  How can a head coach who has been a HC for as long as he has still have no clue how to manage the clock?  And frankly, Dak is just as bad.  The penalty for delay of game before the 2 minute warning and the second down pass out of bounds should be enough to get people fired.  Even worse is that McCarthy made the exact mistake earlier this year by throwing the ball when the team didn’t have TOs to stop the clock.

but, he’s also got Dak playing as well as any qb in the nfl this year.  Maybe he should just be an OC?  Idk.  But there’s no excuse to be that bad.  And, same goes for Dak in that situation.  If there’s no open receiver, tuck it and run.  the only thing that really hurts is an incompletion.

Something people need to keep in mind is that there is no way that 2pt conversion should have stood. The official messed up, but this hurt Dallas as well. They announced 70 as eligible over loud speaker.. and then 68 slips in to score the conversion. Obviously that would have been egregious to hold up over the defense as well. The ref messed up, but someone was getting screwed over no matter what. Detroit still had two more chances and couldn’t get it done.

This game should have been a blowout. Dak was putting on a masterclass and barring his poor decision to try and force a ball across field deep that got picked, he looked MVP level.  That Lamb fumble was unfortunate and could have been 6 more.

As for Mike, when you’re coaching the most penalized team in the league and have terrible clock management, you shouldn’t be a HC.  I give him credit for not abandoning the run like we would have in years past but throwing on that final drive instead of killing time off the clock was a complete debacle.

Also, if Aubrey isn’t having the greatest season an NFL Kicker ever had, I’m not sure how it’s not.  Maybe that missed XP a few weeks back? But to drill numerous from 50+, hit from 60+ and be perfect for the year AND have the record for most touchbacks is insane

The real shame of the way the game ended last night is that the controversey over the 2 point play will overshadow and taint a great game and a record setting game for a young and gifted WR.

Nobody is going to talk about how Dallas, a team that can't beat a team with a winning record, beat 2 of the top seeded NFC post season teams, without saying "yeah but."

Nobody is going to recognize Lamb as having taken that next step in his career as a top 3, if not 1, WR in the league without saying "yeah but."

Nobody is going to remember or appreciate Jimmy Johnson FINALLY getting into the ring of honor without saying "yeah but."

It is always this way with this team. We can't just have a clear cut, decisive victory without hearing "yeah but."
