What are you talking about? When has Minkah been a prima donna, other than his rookie year in Miami? He’s been a consummate pro here. Also, don’t pretend like he’s some kind of glorified slot guy. Minkah is one of the best all around safeties in the game.

He wanted to play safety instead of slot because you get paid more, hit less, and get more INTs. He played slot his first two years at Alabama and was easily more impactful there than at safety, where his average long speed doesn't play well, which makes you think this was a personal prima donna choice not made by the Bama coaching staff. He's best around the ball not trying to close gaps over long distances. He's best in the slot position there where he can stop and start quickly and turn about a radius with ease. When you add his average frame for safety but long at slot this is the best position to place him.

He runs 4.45 because he has good acceleration that tapers out over long distances. This is by definition slot.

Out of these three, give me Latham. Fuaga is the most athletic of the three but JC's ability to cave defenders down along with his excellent balance is exciting to watch.

Funny as you heat up on Latham, I'm cooling on him.  He was one of the most penalized OT's in P5 over the last two years.  In order he was penalized 21 times for Holding, False Start, Illegal man downfield, Unnecessary Roughness, Unsportsmanlike conduct.  And watching some of those penalties, I don't feel like it's too fixable.  His kick is a touch slow so he tries to cheat the snap and he reaches a lot for blocks requiring him to hold.

with us now picking at 20, and if the FO doesn't draft a QB,  would the OT class be good int he 2nd round or would most of the good OT's be gone by then?

Trading down might be of use if the OT class is that deep. This team needs picks , this might be the year to trade down if the certain few prospects are gone at 20

If you trade down, OT P.Paul from Houston, is good.

These some stuff floating that Fuanga and Latham could both be gone by 12. With rumors that QB could go 1-2-3 and WR 4-5-6, this is 4 OTs for 4/6 picks. Looking like Turner and Bowers could be the other two.

Ahh but those will be LT.  Deep draft in RT.  I think Fuanga and Latham both slide a bit as they are really RT.
