anonymousGM
If Eberflus was the Bears DC for the past 2 years and not the head coach wouldn't he be interviewing for HC jobs right now for rebuilding our defense

Exactly what I wanted if Harbaugh wasn't an option: Keep Eberflus, fire the entire offensive coaching staff except for maybe Chris Morgan. Most OCs will have their own guys, or guys in mind. I am curious if we know who we want at OC and there might be a *wink wink* deal.
anonymousGM
I don't know if it was Getsy's decision or Poles, but we should have resigned Montgomery. Our running game was not much of a threat and took a huge step back from 2022. Hope Roschon has a good offseason and Herbert can figure it out

Keeping Morgan could be a strong indication of what they are looking for as well...Morgan has always coached the zone blocking scheme...someone else from the "Shanahan/McVay" tree could make sense. Just we were an aging 3-4 defense and pivoted to an above average cover-2 scheme pretty quickly. I think Flus can hang his hat on hitting on Gordon and Brisker although both those guys need to stay healthy. The D-line also showed improvement with low-risk veteran free agent talent. I think Poles and Flus work well together and have a good knowledge of scheme, technique, and how to value each position.
chisoxguy7
Brian Griese could be an option for a Shanahan OC, Anthony Lynn is there now as well but has the title of AHC so I don't know if he'd come here.
refundmytickets
George bursts into Ted's office. Ted sits at his desk inspecting stamps. George: "Hey Ted - who was that guy we hired with ****?" Ted: "They all have *****, son." George: "John something... For the life of me, I can't remember the guy's name!" Ted: "John Shoop?" George: "That's it! What's he up to these days?" Ted spins in his chair and leers at George. Ted: "You came here to ask me about John Shoop?" George: "Shoop Dogg! What a guy. You think we could get him back?" Ted: "You're definitely onto something..." George: "I knew it." Ted: "If you can get him here from Munich, I think he'd stick around." George hops and snaps his fingers. Joey, George's intern, enters. Joey: "Mr. Halas..." George: "Not now Joey, I'm onto something." Joey: "Oh?" George: "Get me on the next flight to Germany." Joey: "Germany, Mr. Halas?" George rushes out. Joey stares to Ted. His voice trails down the hallway. George: "I've got to see the Shoop Dogg, Joey. Make it happen." Ted takes a call. Ted: "Jeff?" He shoos Joey out of the office. Ted: "The temperature in the building...? How would I know?" He laughs hysterically.
