Took Ryan 5 years before he finally started hitting that next level. Lawrence has been good enough to win with to start his career out. He's definitely a franchise guy. Just may not be the second coming of Manning just yet.

I probably would. And i say that as someone who kinda loved Cutler a lot more than most people too. It is kind of similar at this point though. But Lawrence also really hasn't hit full stride yet. He's clearly got more in him, just hasn't had it all come together consistently just yet. But basically...the "floor" with Lawrence is somewhere around the known "ceiling" with Cutler. And there's still a ton of headroom that Lawrence could very conceivably get to if he stays healthy and gets a little bit better supporting cast to protect him and especially, to throw the ball to. J-ALL-DAY
Most drafts are like this tbh. Maybe not THIS bad but the position is the hardest to play and there are so limited spots in the first place. Half the league is going to be fine with their QBs and then you have so many bad situations that unless the QB is truly great, they will fail. Heck, even great QBs at times have to go to their second team to succeed. No one really expected the 2022 QB class to be all that good though. It was similar to 2013 where there was no true first round prospect but one was going to be taken just due to how valuable the position is. You will have years like 2017 and 2018, but most years will be like 2014, 2015, 2021, 2022 etc. If a draft class comes away with one franchise caliber QB or even a borderline pro bowl type of player, then that is considered a solid draft for QBs. thebestever6
They need a developmental league bring back NFL Europe these qbs are being cycled through at a rapid pace they arent getting the reps to get better it used to be first round picks get 3 years of starting reps before a decision is made, but now if you're not flashing year 1 or two you're done. Also Teams need to start taking the Packers model Picking a great prospect behind an established starter and developing them it's got a better chance to succeed.

NYJets4716
Most of these QBs coming in aren't that great. It's hard drafting QBs and it is usually about the situation they get put in. Brock Purdy wouldn't be the Purdy he is with the 49ers if he was drafted by the Jets. Jordan Love wouldn't be good if he was drafted by the Jets. It's all about the situation and environment they head to.
