swede700
As much as I dislike Nix for the Vikings, I view him as perfect for Payton. At his best, I believe he'd be a lesser version of Brees. I don't view Penix as a fit for Payton, even though he might be a better prospect overall. Edited April 4 by swede700
SemperFeist
I think the Broncos are a perfect team to trade down and draft Nix. They need draft picks. A lot of them. With Odunze still on the board, I don’t think they’d have a problem fielding offers. But in this exercise with no trades, I went with Quinton Mitchell. Maybe the best player available on the board, and a perfect match opposite PS2.
vike daddy
this is too high to draft Nix, but without trades it's who i'll slot for DEN to pick.
SteelKing728
I picked Penix but I can see where others are saying Nix is the better fit.

And then it'll be likely that the other "Paton" gets fired too. I'd wonder if he'd come back, or if he'd retire back to LA where both his wife and he are from. 😉
VikeManDan
Not going to lie, I thought this pick was a joke. Well done Valhalla!
The Gnat
It maybe should have been, but that QB room was empty with three QB's there. Now at least they maybe have someone.

I'd have to think that it was true that Payton's first pick would have been McCarthy, but after that, it certainly had to be Nix, because he fits exactly what Payton has done throughout his career. If anyone is going to get the most of Nix that he has, it's Payton.
Morlee
Apparently, Sean Payton baited us into trading up a pick. He wanted Nix the whole time. https://www.yardbarker.com/nfl/articles/amp/sean_payton_admits_to_baiting_vikings_into_draft_day_trade/s1_127_40287318

Sean Payton is so smart he wanted to help out a team in the same conference as him.
SemperFeist
No one is actually buying Payton’s story, are they?
