Logan Blake is a high RAS guy that could have a shot at the roster with a good weekend. Was on my UDFA watchlist.

If nothing else, his hair game is on point.

Eight officially signed. I think Hicks (WR) was the only other one who was reported to sign but isn't on here.

I thought 8 would put us one over the limit but maybe my math was wrong because I don't see where they released anyone.

Edit: Ingalls to the rescue (I thought Campbell still counted as a roster spot but I guess he doesn't, just his cap number)

The last few years a number of the players that Zach Jacobson reported as signed UDFA's were just tryout invites, take his reporting with a grain of salt. Guessing that is the case again this year.

Another year of more misleading reporting from Zach, need to just ignore his information and wait for real media sources to report it.

Going to be a tough rookie camp logistically for the FO, usually you've got a 20+ man UDFA squad plus your rookie class. 8 UDFA's, smallest class I've seen. Going to have a invite a lot of dudes so they can have a roster worthy of a practice. Need a bunch of WR's, another QB, a bunch of DL, etc... Not that any of this matters lol, just things that go through my head that bring me back to the days of coaching/recruiting and trying to organize freshman only practices early in camp.

Speaking of Kenneth Odumegwu, does the new defense hurt or help his chances? I know he's along shot but the tools seem to be there if he's a quick study.

Don't know a ton about the guy, but seeing him at TC last year, I would argue a 4-3 look would benefit him. He seemed a bit awkward as a stand-up rusher and playing in space in general. He'd probably give himself a better shot by putting on a few pounds and being a more traditional DE.

There is also about 13 players on the current roster that are eligible for the rookie camp. Pratt and McGough are probably the QB's.

I've noticed that all our RBs are 220lbs+, that has to be intentional.

I went back to look at draftable RBs over 220lbs that ran under 4.5s. It's a very small list. Lloyd and Guerendo, that's it. Alabama's McClellan had the weight but didn't register a 40 time.

I went to Brugler's THE BEAST guide and looked at the "Best of the rest" section and guess what, our UDFA Jarveon Howard was very close to making the list, 219lbs and 4.52s. In fact he was the only one on that list to even come close. So we essentially recruited two of the three RBs that fitted the criteria.

Howard and Lloyd are remarkably similar when look at their measurables and testing numbers. What's nice about both of them is that they have very low mileage.

There was one troubling thing I noticed. Lloyd's hand size is among the smallest for RBs in this draft class. You would think the bigger the hands, the more it wraps around the ball which reduces the likeihood of fumbles. I've not seen the context of his fumbles but could his hand size be a factor?

Our UDFA long snapper is actually the lightest and least athletic of all the long snappers we had over the last three years. I think that fact alone makes him unlikely to make the roster. He ran a 5.14 time compared to Orzech 4.78 time. Orzech is taller and heavier too.

Love that we brought in more UDFA offensive linemen to boost our our OL depth. Trente Jones fitted the Packers OL thresholds (which I posted in the Jordan Morgan thread) to the T. You don't often get that with Late round/UDFAs. Usually you get a few warts here and there such as Jennings hand size or Glover's poor broad jump. The Packers do a very good job of finding solid and interesting late round/UDFA iOL prospects. We desperately needed Interior OL depth entering the draft and i'm happy with the way we went about finding these guys.

I don't think the Packers give a **** what 40 time their LS runs.

When we punt the LS has to run down the field to close down on the returner so yeah i'm sure they do give a ****
