Yes Pratt isn't ready to be #2 yet. Has raw talent but needs to be developed. Think we all saw that. He does have an NFL arm and a high ceiling though. Again you are probably right he'll end up on the PS. I'd just hate to see him poached. Give the kid another year and he'll be ready to assume that #2 role. HighCalebR
Telfort did have a pretty nice showing.. would they put 2 redshirt OL on the roster?
Mazrimiv
I'm not sure that Dillard being cut would even rate as a surprise. Fans have been wanting to leave him off the 53 for weeks.

Agree that really isn't a surprise, don't think the Packers want to guarantee his salary for the year. Could see him cut and brought back a few weeks down the line though.

Wouldn't this actually by 3? You'd have the six who we could trust that could play, then Monk, Telford and somebody else.

If he is waived injured then that means the Packers won't be able to re-sign him for six weeks plus the length of the settlement. If that's the case then they only got two options. Keep him on the roster and fully guarantee his base salary or cut him completely and look elsewhere. There's also the fact he's a LT only and not much of a swing tackle. That will definitely count against him. Zach Kruse's take is looking much more likely. Edited August 27 by Chili

Telfort youd be relying on to play, hes a problem(good way) in the run game while being at least decent in pro. Id assume the two would be Monk/Glover. He never looked like he’d be very good, but there were hopes he could play as a depth piece. He was not better at anything than the other guys. I wish him well and he would be welcome on the PS.

After a very rough start he settled in pretty well and hes our best athlete on the OL, touts some positional flexibility and has real game experience.

Do we even know how serious the injury is though? Was he just held out to be on the safe side?
