I think the most interesting Olympic events are individual ones. Team sports in general aren't very interesting to me for the Olympics. I think they are valuable specifically for the arenas and television, since you can sell tickets to the team events and large numbers of people do watch them. It is, however, less interesting to the random fans to watch basketball than some sport that is novel to them.

I'm just personally most interested in the individual "feats of strength/speed" stuff more.

On the other hand, beach sand is part of a delicate ecosystem. There might be a legitimate beef there even if it came from his property beyond the highest tide line. If the machines are operating below the tide lines that would really merit a legal “knock it off!”

Know when the hammer-throw season is? Cause I sure don't. Maybe hammer-throw is awesome, I don't know, it isn't on TV. Make the Olympics a venue for less popular sports every 4 years. I am just interested in something different every once in a while.

The more obscure team sports are a lot more appealing for me too.

I just thought it was kind of funny that while normal neighbors might argue about a properly built privacy fence, billionaires argue about using excavators to dig up a public beach so they can use the sand as part of their personal construction projects. These are the same guys fans want to take a hard line stance (draw a line in the sand?) in negotiations when players want for a market level contract. Most owners are first class ********.

Mazrimiv
The shuttle launches used to shake the house big time. Now it's like living by train tracks. I don't even pay attention when the rockets go up. Heck now that I think about it, a Falcon went up about an hour ago. They were playing Born to Be Wild by Steppenwolf. It was a fun idea that the launch was sort of an unsanctioned bit of civil disobedience.
