Kyler Murray [16 GS]: 316/534 (59.18%, 91.78 Rating) for 3,896 yards, 26 touchdowns, 8 interceptions. 80 carries for 641 yards (8.01 YPC, 30 LNG), 3 touchdowns, 4 fumbles. If we extrapolate Purdy's 5 games over a full season, we get this: Brock Purdy [16 GS]: 278/448 (62.14%, 97.92 Rating) for 3,584 yards, 22 touchdowns, 6 interceptions. 22 carries for 118 yards (5.29 YPC, 10 LNG), 0 touchdowns, 6 fumbles. He'd be hovering in that top 7 Joe Burrow range (which, honestly, should be way too high for Purdy). Purdy isn't the problem. From what I can tell, it comes down to 2 things: 1) the number of rookies you're starting on defense, and 2) being unFLUCKy. (Avila isn't helping, either.) Offensively, you've fumbled three times and lost all three. On defense, you've forced six and only recovered two. You're sitting at a ridiculous 22% as it relates to fumble recoveries. That's some horrible FLUCK. Even worse, you're only a -24 in net points with an 0-5 record, which means you've lost by an average of 4.8 points. That's... nothing. A few of those fumbles go your way and that score is undoubtedly different. Keep building.
