naptownskinsfan
In the AL, it will be the Tigers and Royals, seeding needs to be determined. A Tigers win gets them the Orioles, as well as a loss from both teams. If the Royals win and the Tigers lose, the Royals travel to Baltimore as they hold the tiebreaker. ***As an orioles fan, I want no part of Detroit right now. In the NL, this is going to be the one to watch. Currently the Braves and Mets hold the wild card spots, and may need to play games on Monday. Arizona has to win to continue, but the Mets ultimately control their destiny, needing to win two of their remaining three games.

naptownskinsfan
Tigers draw Houston, and the Orioles get the Royals. I’m probably going to regret it, but reiterating that I wanted no part of Detroit right now

naptownskinsfan
We’re also getting the crazy wild card play-in double header today. If the Braves and Mets split, they are both in. If one sweeps, then the loser is out, and the Diamondbacks are in. Problem is, the team that wins first has no incentive to win the second beyond bragging rights. It'll be Sale vs potentially checked out dudes or bench players. Whoever takes game 1 isn't going to trot out one of Sale or Severino in game 2 so it's not looking good for the D'Backs. redsoxsuck05
Braves have no one left to pitch because everything was riding on Sale. They're lucky they only have to face Lucchesi.
