I was thinking about potentially breaking it down in to tiers, something like if you spent x pick to keep the player the year before, the cost is now x:
10 round pick or later - New cost: 8th round pick
7th-9th round pick - New cost: 6th round pick
5th-6th round pick - New cost: 4th round pick
4th round pick - New cost: 3rd round pick
3rd round pick - New cost: 2nd round pick or highest pick left
1st or 2nd round pick - New cost: 1st round pick or highest pick left
Note: This only goes for a player you are keeping for a second year onwards. If it's your first year using that player as a keeper, you lose the pick that you used on them last year.

I think you guys are the three I haven’t heard from, though I know Ruskie has been around, just looking for confirmation you’re back. I’ll use Yahoo to send you guys a message if I don’t hear anything in the next couple days.

I'm good to go guys! Sorry been busy the last few days. Only way to go is up for my team this year right? We were dreadful last year.

Hey, could someone catch me up on the rules of the keeper league. I am a bit of noob with keeper rules. I usually do regular one year fantasy leagues. I have been reading through the thread and league settings, but still a little confused. Basically the keeper rules are confusing. What’s the benefit of keeping less or more players? Tier system you guys are talking of and such. Thanks in advance.

Keepers let you keep your good players from year to year. Which is especially helpful when you hit on a late round pick so you get to keep a stud for an 8th or 10th round pick. But it gets more expensive every year, so at some point maybe it's better to let them back into the draft pool so that you might get them later.

It's a fun way to be able to have some guys that you like. There's not necessarily any benefit or drawback of keeping more or less guys. Just depends on what you think the best options are.

Ok so the pick you lose in the upcoming draft is valued dependent on the spot they got picked in the previous year?

If it's the first time you keep them, they cost the same pick as you originally used. If you're keeping someone who has already been kept, then it costs a higher pick. That's what the tiers are for, to see what pick they cost.
