Trying to move up and get a TE.

Once the top 3 are gone, why?

Ian Thomas or Fum are not worth moving up for IMO.

It was to see if PHI would be willing to move back.  They were going to take Bates who was the player I would be moving up for.  They declined and took Bates.

Woth noting that Alex Cappa is still there. He is an offensive  tackle that would probably be best at guard. I think i stll prefer TE Thomas, though.

I would will also mention LS Tanner Carew (Oregon), who played well at the Senior Bowl. Given Goode's age the Packers might be willing to part with a 7th for him.

With Pick 101, Green Bay Packers select

5042 - Ian Thomas - TE Indiana

Really like the potential of Thomas as a pass catcher.  With ASJ, will not need to produce early and should be allowed to develop and be a key contributor in 2019 and beyond.

Tough to pass on some other players, but with a pick coming up again #116, hoping to get one of the other players mentioned.

Positions to target going forward -- mostly depth and higher upside players.

OL

EDGE

CB

Safety

ILB

Thomas was the first reach for me thus far, don't have him in my top 100.

Well....it was pick 101.

We will agree to disagree here.  No problem.  I do like the players you mentioned, there is something about Thomas that fits for me.  Once he measured as he did at the combine, he was a late 3rd target for me.

If asked which position groups I'd like to see addressed in the first 4 picks, it would be Edge, CB, WR, TE (in that order).

Squire12 has drafted Harold Landry (Edge), Isiah Oliver (CB), Michael Gallup (WR), Ian Thomas (TE).

I would love this draft (though I know the Packers have slightly different picks now). Well done squire12. Also, Thomas was the last TE out there that I thought good enough to be a starter.

I tend to agree - but I'm far more fuzzy on the specific player. We NEED to shut down the pocket and force quicker (more forced) passes. Be that from the outside or greater PUSH from the interior DL - I dont know and dont personally care. Its the end result we need. Either will help our DBs perform better.
