SteelKing728
DTs can last awhile but Joseph is just depth and a 2 down player at best. For Buffalo, that's really all they need.
swede700
Didn't even know he was gone...he was still listed on Vikings.com as on the practice squad last week...
vike daddy
The Panthers doubled up on adding linebackers to injured reserve on Tuesday. After announcing that Chandler Wooten was going on the list early in the day, they also placed Luiji Vilain on injured reserve in the evening. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/panthers-put-luiji-vilain-on-ir

vike daddy
Sammy White: "As we all know, Minnesota winters can be brutally cold, and that includes our football practices. One day, when Coach Bud Grant was getting us ready for an outdoor practice on a bone-chilling, sub-zero day, a few of us players had concerns about practicing in such extreme conditions. Coach Grant, with his trademark wisdom, reminded us that Eskimos live and work in these frigid conditions every day without complaint. He said, "They have no problem." I couldn't help but raise my hand and ask, "Coach, were any of those Eskimos black?" The whole team burst into laughter, and it was moments like these that made our time together with the Minnesota Vikings unforgettable. It was an honor to play for this team and be a part of the rich history of football in the North."

He was also, quietly, a great receiver that gets forgotten by Vikings fans, when the pantheon includes Anthony Carter, Cris Carter, Randy Moss, Diggs, Thielen, and soon...JJ. White was great while playing outside in those frigid Minnesota winters.

vike daddy
According to Darren Wolfson and KSTP, Everson Griffen has been working as a pass-rushing specialist for a high school football team. More specifically, he is coaching at Minnetonka High School. Griffen explains in the video clip that he has a “PhD in football,” so he’s looking to pass along some valuable knowledge. https://vikingsterritory.com/2023/news/top_news/perspective-picks-in-2024?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook
vike daddy
Dennis Ryan was well prepared for anything for every step of his 47-year career with the Minnesota Vikings. He also shirked accolades along the way, akin to the way John Randle shed blocks. Based on that, the Vikings knew they'd have to surprise Ryan in order to deliver the tribute he earned. Ryan and his wife Laura were invited to attend Saturday's practice, which fell on Legends Weekend. With scores of former players returning to Minnesota, as well as current Vikings looking on, Head Coach Kevin O'Connell called Ryan up to break down the team's final huddle of the practice week. Ryan entered the circle to cheers and enjoyed reconnecting before he was guided toward the locker room at Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center. As he walked through the hallway that connects the locker room with the Indoor Practice Facility, a light switch flipped on, revealing his son Ben, and daughters, Maureen and Annie, who were standing in what will now be known as the Dennis Ryan Equipment Room. Two game balls — one personalized to Dennis "For always going above and beyond while putting the team first" and one to Laura "For quarterbacking the Ryan family all those years" — also awaited. https://www.vikings.com/news/dennis-ryan-equipment-room-surprise-47-year-career?fbclid=IwAR2T-5Ta4DlZFSPW6oUT3l_f3PnBgwH9XABuAt1T3OsBn0CWCbId-2orSog it's all about the culture... you don't see Ryan's kids throwing bricks at cars on their street.

vike daddy
Before last night’s game, Bills receiver Stefon Diggs was smiling. After the game, there was nothing to smile about. Diggs had three catches for 34 yards on five targets in the 24-22 loss at home to the Broncos. And he witnessed the disastrous failure of the coaching staff and the special-teams unit to ensure that only 11 players were on the field for the effort to defend against the missed field goal that would have clinched a Buffalo win. Not long after the game ended, Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, sent a very public message to his brother, Stefon: “Man, 14 Gotta get up out of there.” Stefon landed in Buffalo in 2020, after tweeting his way out of Minnesota. It’s hard to imagine that Stefon Diggs, who turns 30 in 15 days, will want to spend the final seasons of his prime with a team that is in clear decline. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/trevon-diggs-on-his-brother-stefon-after-latest-bills-loss-14-gotta-get-up-out-of-there
