Hadn’t read much about it, but this description from Greg Coleman Quote He noticed (recently) that he had some drooping in his face and noticed stuff starting to drip out of his mouth when he drank, so he said, ‘Something is going on,’’’ Coleman said. “The last couple of days, when he got it checked out, he went to see the Falcons doctor and they recommended some folks and he got a CT scan and an MRI and both revealed the same thing, that there was a mass in the frontal lobe. ...makes me think it’s most likely a glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). There are other possibilities, but given his age and the way the problem is described, I guess GBM is the culprit. GBM is the commonest primary brain tumor in people in their 50s, and the worst in terms of prognosis. Surgery isn’t curative because the edges of the tumor can’t be fully resected, but debulking does help. Patients usually get chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy (after surgery), often both in a patient of this age. It’s considered palliative (incurable) at diagnosis: some patients survive for a few years, but the average is closer to 1 year. Sad situation, the Doleman/Millard days were my favorite version of the Vikings defense until last year. Edit: found a more recent article that confirms my guess: Quote Doleman was diagnosed with glioblastoma, the same cancer Arizona Sen. John McCain has. He had surgery on Jan. 25 to remove a tumor. During the procedure, two additional tumors were found, and they are now being treated by radiation. He also is undergoing chemotherapy. vike daddy
Fullback Zach Line is sticking with the Saints. Agent Mike McCartney announced that his client has agreed to a new contract with the team. It’s a two-year deal for Line, who joined the Saints last season after four years with the Vikings. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/04/05/saints-sign-zach-line-to-two-year-deal/ starting to see McCartney's name more and more often.... swede700
Quote The Vikings honor the life of Grady Alderman, who passed away this week. Alderman played for the Vikings from 1961 to 1974, made six Pro Bowls and was named one of the 50 Greatest Vikings. http://www.vikings.com/media-vault/videos/In-Memory-of-Grady-Alderman/bd80136d-c551-46d5-85c2-d54a500ef17b
