Like you might say "it's a biological imperative for men to have children with as many women as possible" but there's for sure men out there that don't want to have any children at all. Individuals make choices, and it's probable that hoodie's arm candy is more interested in "he's wealthy" and "he's actually very charming and funny when you don't insult his intelligence" than any sort of "biological imperative." English has all sorts of great hedging words, and their use is standard in scientific literature, since one is always working with "less than the maximum amount of data."
