Were apparently stuck between floors 1 and 2, and I work on the 31st floor of my building. We are the first stop in that elevator bank. When we had been in there and some folks were starting to get more anxious than you would like (understandably), we pried the doors open, and magically we were 6 inches below the first floor. I was fine - I'm not a panicky person - but some people were letting the building staff and FD have it because we had to let ourselves out. It was definitely an interesting experience.
