JetsandI Posted May 24 Share Posted May 24 Luis Gil certainly makes it difficult for Yankees to rearrange the rotation once Gerrit Cole returns from 60 day IL. Granted, a body of MLB work isn't enough to keep him in the rotation for full season but bullpen preparedness is different from starting and it is essential for Gil to stay in same routine, which belongs to the rotation. I suggest one as plan B if he actually moves to bullpen. Pairing Gil with Marcus Stroman for every turn. Because of his WHIP, it is good chance that Stroman will run out of gas by 6th inning regularly. It is perfect for Gil to finish off a game.
