It’s a prove it deal.

I suppose. It seems pretty high at first blush. I think that's nearly on par with what Jeffrey got on his 1 year deal and Moncrief has not done what he had up to that point in his career.

The way you've seen us spend money this year, I obviously can't say for sure, but it just feels like Robinson didn't want to come back.

It's definitely too much per year for him, but on a 1 year deal unless it hampers what we can do elsewhere it really doesn't really matter. Doesn't seem as if it did based on everything we did. We can cut Nortman and either restructure/trade/cut Hurns and we're fine (which hurts as he's a fan favorite for what he's done).

If Moncrief stays healthy (big If), than I'm not sure it really is that crazy. If he doesn't, than he's gone after this year and we find someone else and it doesn't impact us at all financially. One year deals are really hard for me to get too up in arms about, even if it's too much for a player. Moncrief has some decent sized upside as long as he can stay on the field. WR's got paid as @KhanYouDigIt said and we needed a veteran with upside to be a focal point on offense. I think Moncrief has a chance to be relatively close, a lot closer than anyone not named Watkins/ARob.

Then what in all **** was wrong with giving a potentially ELITE receiver like Allen Robinson the money...on a one year Franchise Tag deal?

Damn i wish i got a prove it deal...

Prove it deals are for guys who have proven to be good and either have character or injury concerns...Moncrief just has injury concerns

I'd take one too.  If anyone is curious, or just handing them out or whatever.

I have almost identical measurables to Marcus Peters.  I bet i'm not as bad as i think i am as a depth corner.

They don't believe that/don't like paying someone coming off an ACL/bad blood between both sides (which TC's quote made it sound like ARob had little interest in returning).

This signing was a Tony Khan signing.

Apparently he loved this guy coming out of college. Analytically, he tested as one of the best ever at the combine according to Lageman on Jaguars Thursday. Just got to watching it today.

Thats great and all but in 4 years he basically did what Arob did in 2...

Aaron got paid 14M per over 3 years. Moncrief got a one year deal to prove he can stay healthy.

Big difference.

It's good that we have a young owner invested in the team, but I out zero value in Khan. I'm sure he's a smart guy, and maybe some of his other analysis resulted in great success, but the high profile ones that they boasted about?

Gabbert qb rating when given time = Joeckel

Goal line carries for TD = Yeldon

Best in coverage = Sample

Those are some pretty bad ones, and they were very public about them
