tl;dr Nothing is gonna happen

honestly nothing should happen. any real punishnent would just be for pr sakes and to appease any silly public outcry.

comapanies shouldnt be able to punish you for things you literally did as a kid.

This is going to feel gross, but I agree with GSUeagles.  MLB really shouldn't be able to punish Hader for things he said or did years before he was employed by them.  Not shocked that Hader received no suspension.

Does this apply to Luke Heimlich as well?

Absolutely.  Big difference there is that Heimlich is being excluded from being employed by MLB due to that behavior.  They knew about it before he became an employee, and thus can take control of that situation.

Is him being excluded from play at any professional level not punishment for things he “literally did as a kid”?

With Heimlich, if his record had accidentally been released after he was drafted, should the MLB have handled it how Hader’s situation will be handled? Would we be saying that his team shouldn’t release him and should give him a complete fair shake at rising through the minors and getting to their pro team?

Is timing of discovery the only thing that defines whether action should be taken?

Pretty strong statements from Cain and Aguilar on the racism accusations.

in all seriousness, what did he tweet that was racist? the whole thing is silly, but calling him racist is even more silly.

Yeah, cause what he did compared to Hader is exactly the same. o.O

Can you point to where I stated or implied they were exactly the same?

If “comapanies shouldnt be able to punish you for things you literally did as a kid“ applies to things done just two months prior to being drafted, then surely it applies to something done years prior.

This of course unless that statement isn’t true and there are actually things that people should be held accountable for regardless of how young they were when they happened. So either you believe that Heimlich shouldn’t be punished or you agree that there is clearly a line at which players should be held accountable for what they did as kids. And if you accept that there is a line, maybe you’ll start to understand how people can view where that line aught to be differently.
