Likely in a wild exchange I feel like Jones doesn't really get caught in slugfests though. I feel like he isn't someone that lets that happen. If you mean that Santos will go swinging for the fences almost blindly then that I agree but it won't be something like Cody v TJ or Cody v Munhoz where both goes just start swinging til someone drops. BullsandBroncos
I'll admit, Santos I think has way more a chance than Gustaffson or Smith ever had. Would've loved the Stipe fight. He would probably just get taken down and murdered though.

The card also features Angela Lee (atomweight champ) fighting for a second belt at strawweight. Aung La Nsang (middleweight and light heavyweight champ from Myanmar) defending the MW belt. Bantamweight championship rematch. ONE debuts of Demetrious Johnson and Eddie Alvarez. Garry Tonon (bjj superstar) also fighting in MMA on this card. 4 title fights, a ton of star power. Pretty ridiculous card top to bottom What's the American start time? Based on the countdown clock, I'm assuming 2:30 AM EST?

Cant imagine they will end the 170 and add 2 new weight classes but it might be the easiest way. If they move 170 to 175 i wonder if Gastelum would try and make a go for that belt if he loses to Izzy

Buckrock101
In case anyone doesn't know about the stars of this ONE Championship card, here's a small primer: Main Event: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eduard_Folayang Folayang is a 34 year old Filipino fighter with a 21-6 career record. He's been fighting in ONE Championship since 2011, with a record of 11-4. He beat Shinya Aoki (who he rematches on this card) in 2016 to win the LW belt, and defended it once before losing it in 2017 when Martin Nguyen become a 2-weight champ. He won the vacant belt back in his last fight, in November. Folayang is 7-1 in his last 8, with the only loss being to Nguyen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shinya_Aoki Shinya Aoki is an MMA legend, with a career record of 42-8 (1) despite only being 35. He's fought in Pride, Shooto, Strikeforce, Bellator, Dream, Rizin, as well as ONE. In his last 26 fights he's 22-4. The 4 losses are to Gilbert Melendez, Eddie Alvarez, Ben Askren (up a class at welterweight) and Folayang. 27 of his career wins are by submission, including triangle choke, arm triangle, armbar, read naked choke, twister, neck crank, americana, hammer lock, heel hook and gogoplata (twice). Co-Main: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angela_Lee Main attraction here is Angela Lee, one of the biggest stars of the promotion. The 22 year old atomweight champ is (along with being extremely marketable) 9-0 as a pro, with 3 defenses of her belt. She has a black belt in BJJ and Taekwondo, and has 7 of her wins by submission (rnc, armbar, twister, neck crank and anaconda choke). Her brother Christian also fights in ONE, with a record of 11-3 at 20 years old (including a title fight at featherweight, which he lost to Nguyen). Angela Lee will fight at strawweight for the first time, trying to win her second title. Her opponent Xiong Jingnan is 13-1, with 9 wins by KO/TKO. Rest of the Card: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aung_La_Nsang "The Burmese Python" Aung La Nsang is a current 2-weight champ, holding both the MW and LHW belts. His career record stands at 24-10 (1) with 10 wins by KO/TKO and 12 by submission. He defends his middleweight belt, which he has defended 3 times so far. He's yet to defend the LHW belt, which he won by TKO over Alexandre Machado in February 2018. Nsang is 9-1 in ONE Championship. Earlier in his career he fought (and lost to) Uriah Hall and Costa Philippou in Ring of Combat in NY. He holds a guillotine win over Mohamed Ali. The fight against Ken Hasegawa is a rematch of their title fight in Jun 28, which Aung La Nsang won by KO in the 5th round. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Belingon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bibiano_Fernandes Belingon vs Fernandes is a rematch of a title fight in November 2018, when Belingon became the first person to beat Fernandes since December 2010. It's also a fight for the lineal Conor belt (Conor lost his belt in his first loss of his career to Artemij Sitenkov. Sitenkov lost to Takeshi Numajiri in 2010, who lost to Tatsumitsu Wada, who lost to Yoshiro Maeda, who lost the belt to Fernandes in 2012). Belingon, from the Philippines, is 20-5 (8 KO 3 subs), the Brazilian Fernandes is 22-4 (2 KO 8 sub). The two first fought for the ONE Bantamweight title in 2016, which Fernandes won by sub (kimura). Belingon then won a razor thin split decision in November to break Bibiano's 14-fight win streak. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andy_Souwer https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yodsanklai_Fairtex The first fight of the main card is Andy Souwer vs Yodsanklai Fairtex in kickboxing. Souwer's record is 160-21-1, while Yodsanklai's is 201-71-4. Yodsanklai is ranked the 5th best lightweight kickboxer in the world by Combat Press, while Souwer is a former K-1 champ. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garry_Tonon Outside of Mighty Mouse and Alvarez (who we know about), the other big name on the card is Garry Tonon. The 27 year old, part of the Danaher Death Squad, is a superstar in BJJ circles, with competitive wins over names like Dillon Danis, AJ Agazarm, Masakazu Imanari (by heel hook) and Shinya Aoki. Since transitioning to MMA he's 3-0, with 1 win by TKO and 2 by sub. Long story short, ONE is looking to expand into Japan (I believe this is their first ever card in Japan), and they've packed just about every start they have onto this card (including Johnson and Alvarez's debuts). It would be a bad idea to miss this card. Edited March 29, 2019 by Buckrock101

He will get taken down and beaten to a pulp. I think a wrestler with good standup has a better chance than a great/elite striker with avg TDD He definitely has a one punch chance, but Santos' kicks are devastating and one real advantage is that he loves to use them. If he starts off the fight beating Jones to the exchanges by chopping down his chicken legs, he definitely has a chance to pull it off. I get that Santos has nothing to lose, but a gameplan of throwing kicks at the best and most creative grappler/wrestler in UFC history may not be the best idea... 11sanchez11
Masvidal and Askren agreed to fight. UFC trying to figure out which card to put it on. In July most likely.

I mean there are pretty few pathways to victory for him against Jones, but just walking him down and throwing a couple haymakers probably won't win him the fight. His kicks are pretty damaging and a few good shots down there and Bones will have to lower his guard a little.

There isn’t exactly a blue print to beat someone that has never been beat. Yea kicking him exposes him to a TD and likely sub/GnP to follow but he has to do more than just throw punches
