Hunter2_1 Posted July 16, 2020 Share Posted July 16, 2020 Life Paths. In Cyberpunk 2077, when creating your V, you can choose between a Nomad, Street Kid and Corporate Life Path. The genesis of these life paths began with the destruction of the American family. All three paths have a different prologue and you start the game at completely different areas, talking to mostly different people, undertaking different quests or work. Street Kid Life Path They say if you want to understand the streets, you got to live them. Gangs, fixers, small-time pushers — you were raised by them all. Down here the law of the jungle dictates the weak serve the strong — the only law in Night City you have yet to break. Street children make up most of the youth in Cyberpunk America; this is thanks to minimum supervision due to the increasing workloads, and the lack of any public schooling system in most states. By age six, most street kids are unsupervised for up to six hours a day. By age twelve this figure rises to sixteen hours a day. By the age of ten, almost 90 percent of street kids are involved in some type of youth gang. The Street Kid prologue features a lower-class origin. Born into the gutters of Night City, Street Kids have, most appropriately, street smarts. Coming from low-class families and all the struggles which that entails, these rogues of the inner city do whatever they can to survive. That said, your background doesn’t define your story. With enough talent and ambition, a Street Kid can use his or her life skills and attributes for greater things than living in squalor. Nomad Life Path Roaming the Badlands, looting scrapyards, raiding fuel depots, life on the road wasn’t easy. But growing up in a nomad clan has its perks. Honest, integrity, and a love of freedom, qualities that few in Night City possess, and no amount of money can buy. The Nomads in Cyberpunk 2077 are basically Mad Max: the faction. While once corporate pawns themselves, Nomads have since shunned the big business lifestyle and taken to the badlands, the arid and desolate area surrounding Night City. Vagabonds to a fault, they roam the highways in search of spare parts, supplies, or the occasional gig. Nomads travel in fleets of a kind — like caravans but with recreational vehicles. Protecting the nomad fleet are the scouts, which basically serve as Cyberpunk 2077‘s version of biker gangs. Riding around in muscle cars or bikes and clad in leather, the scouts live up to their namesake. Their role is to fend off possible threats and scour the wastes for safe places to set up camp. Anywhere a Nomad roams is where they call home. Corporate Life Path Few leave the corporate world with their lives, fewer still with their souls intact. You’ve been there, you’ve bent the rules, exploited secrets, and weaponized information. There’s no such thing as a fair game, only winners and losers. In stark contrast to the Nomads, Corpos (short for ‘corporate’) are your typical big-business, Wolf Of Wall Street types in the Cyberpunk universe. These are the people who have sold their soul in exchange for a foot on the corporate ladder. These guys take ‘anything for a buck’ to an entirely different level. Machiavellian in both nature and practice, Corpos will use any and every method to further their business gains. Corporations rule the Cyberpunk landscape, from governments to armies. This newest installment in the franchise may very well see your character start out as a junior executive of some kind, clawing your way up to prominence by doing the bidding of your suit-wearing, big-scheming company overlords. Kiltman Posted July 17, 2020 Share Posted July 17, 2020 Been tough trying to decide since they came out with that a couple weeks ago, I kinda want to go corpo and make it a revenge story and get constantly questioned where my allegiances are. But then Street Kid trying to get by, working their way up sounds like a sun experience. Nomad opening up the ability easier to take on the city and kind of being divorced from all of that makes for a much different playthrough. Like the patch that enhances it for next gen consoles, since the game will essentially be launching along side the next gen consoles.
