Incredibly few QBs can work in just about any system. If you follow that argument you could say Drew Brees is a system QB. He was very pedestrian in San Diego way back, but he went to New Orleans and presto. If that's what it means to be a system QB, I have no issues with that, as @El ramster said. You should follow the Cowboys for a season or 2. Pedestrian? Really? 2004 was one of Brees's best season's. And his season's would have been even better if they had a OC and HC that could capitalize on his talents even more. Instead they focused heavily on running their HOF RB into the ground instead of finding a way to take advantage of the incredibly talented receiving core to make that offense lethal. They only really took advantage of Gates and LT instead of being more creative with the offense. Brees still thrived. There is no way they shouldn't have been the No.1 offense that year I don't care how great Brady played. But Brees has succeeded in multiple systems. Foles has yet to show he can succeed outside of a high tempo west coast offense which Pederson helped adjust for him. Same with Wentz and the Eagles high tempo run and gun offense. Granted Wentz hasn't had that many years in the league and has been fortunate enough to have someone who understands exactly what he needs to succeed but it still a fact. Dak Prescott has run a offense not situated to his skill set. He's had one great year and one bad year under it and now they are adjusting it to play to his strengths he has shown to be able to work in something that wasn't designed specifically to him. The Cowgirls are a system team. They rely on Zeke.
tyler735
I'd take a healthy Wentz over Goff without much hesitation. However as many have mentioned there are injury concerns with Wentz at this point.

That's because Gates and LT were the offense. There were no other playmakers on the team. Guys like Sproles, VJ, and Floyd came afterwards. And 2004 was the best season of Bree's career as a Charger. And that was only after his horrendous 2003 season. He came back to earth in 2005 when his arm wasn't strong enough to beat an 8 men front. They could have done had Cameron actually tried to focus something other then just getting the ball to Gates or LT.
Bobby816
These is a really hard one that there's really no wrong answer to. For me its Goff. Mainly bc of his deep ball.

Brees was just not the same player that he was with NO and Sean Payton. It probably didn't help that his arm was super weak with only Chad Pennington beating him out for the weakest arm in the league. There were throws that he could not make pre injury.
