He's on his 5th year option, and that would free up $9 mil for the Eagles while giving the Browns a 1 year rental for a low pick. That would also help manipulate the Carryover with no dead money in the future. I'm not saying the Browns couldn't retain him after this year, it just gives the Browns options going forward. But man, adding Vernon, Mosley, and Wilkins or Oliver would certainly put a lot more talent out on the field. Bring in another corner and you could be looking at a top 5 defense with 4-5 Pro Bowlers (Garrett, Vernon, Ward, Mosley, Randall?, Ogunjobi?
