Week 14: VIKINGS (6-5-1) at Seahawks (7-5)

Recommended Posts

I'll probably watch this one Tuesday. I go to bed at 9pm and I'm not going to risk going to the Academy super tired.

Hoping for the best. Skol!

Run. The. Ball.

Zimmer had better light a fire under D-Flop and let him know that 13 runs is absolutely unacceptable. Lose the screen plays. Pound the middle again and again, then play action the heck out of them.

Everson Griffen: “I was recruited by Lane Kiffin when I was in Agua Fria High School in Arizona. Lane Kiffin got the Raiders job, and I got recruited by Nick Holt. He was my D-line coach at USC, and then Pete Carroll became head coach. It was a no-brainer for me to go there. The biggest thing I like about Pete Carroll is he didn’t lie to the scouts from the NFL. He told them the honest truth about me, and about my character issues, because at the end of the day, that is why I made it this far in my career right now. I had to work hard.”

Interesting recall from Griffen. Because none of it really makes sense. Kiffin was the OC at USC before he took the Raiders job, but Carroll was still the head coach.

Wide receiver Chad Beebe (hamstring), tight end David Morgan (knee), cornerback Trae Waynes (concussion) were all listed as out after not practicing this week. Waynes suffered a concussion against the Patriots last week.

Linebacker Eric Kendricks (rib) was listed as questionable on Saturday. Mike Zimmer said “he’ll be fine” when he addressed the media during his Saturday press conference.

Wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) was a limited participant in practice on Thursday and Friday. Diggs was participating in practice on Saturday. Diggs did not receive a status on Saturday’s injury report and is expected to play. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes (hamstring), wide receiver Brandon Zylstra (foot) and guard Mike Remmers (low back) were all full participants in practice this week. All three players are expected to play on Saturday.

This would be such a great week to get back on track. We need to show some guts against these better teams though.

Zimmer has always said that this team responds better when they are the underdog. Time to prove it, because they aren’t going to be much more of an underdog than this.

Seahawks receiver Doug Baldwin‘s availability for Monday night continues to be up in the air. Coach Pete Carroll told reporters on Saturday that Baldwin, who has a hip injury, will be a game-time decision for the showdown with the Vikings.

Last chance for a "signature" win this season. Still waiting for this team to play a complete game in all 3-phases.
