It doesn’t have to be everyone drafted on the edge at the same time on the field.  After the second round you are looking for depth, and we need it on the edge.  I like going heavy on the d line and hoping some develop.  I would probably prefer Oliver or Wilkins since we are looking for more 3/4 type ends who can get pressure.

Which is why I wouldn't be opposed to going Ferrell/Allen if we were grabbing another guy in FA like Flowers. Allen has the size to play inside and out which would be helpful for depth.

However, TE is quite weak in the FA class and we have a huge need already. I expect we address the spot in round 2 unless someone falls to us that we can't pass up.

I don't think we'll add a QB earlier than round 6. They've brought Cook into the mix and there's a good chance that we bring back Cassell at minimum salary.

Thanks for this.  In retrospect, it was an oversight to have CB Love above Allen or Fant.  Actually I'm sure Allen is being drafted much to low here.

Thanks for working out a 7 round mock - I don't have the patience and you did a solid job overall. It's tough to know how to approach things for each team. This is such a deep class and there are teams with needs at positions like QB that could push a guy like Allen down the board. I make the connection based on: team need (de/edge) and Paul Pasqualoni/BC (our DC was Allen's coach) > scheme familiarity.

I suspect that we are going to look to FA to address CB opposite of Slay and then dip into the draft for a slot guy. This is assuming that we don't retain Nevin Lawson (although we are likely going to add a CB or two for sure regardless).

This is a pretty good TE class and we have a big need at the position. I don't see too many names in FA that will resolve the problem, so we are likely going to look to the draft to find "the guy" while adding other guys that might be able to contribute in the short term.

I'd be pretty bummed if we passed on Oliver. But if Ford grades out as the top OT, I can't knock the pick. Everything else fits a need except for McLaurin.

This wouldn't be my favorite draft but it's certainly possible.

Solid but I really don’t want another “young” receiver on this team. Would love Sweat in the 1st and Gerald Willis in the 2nd.

The Bears won't go OT, they are solid there and both are signed long term.

CB, RB, S. or even OG would be more likely.

Also, the Bears have the Eagles 7th round pick.

2              San Francisco – Quinnen Williams, DL, Alabama

3              NY Jets – Josh Allen, Edge, Kentucky

4              Oakland – Rashan Gary, DL, Michigan

5              Tampa Bay – Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma

6              NY Giants  - Dwayne Haskins, QB, Ohio State

7              Jacksonville – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

8              Detroit – Clelin Ferrell, Edge, Clemson

9              Buffalo – Ed Oliver, DT, Houston

10           Denver – Drew Lock, QB, Missouri

11           Cincinnati– Devin White, LB, LSU

12           Green Bay-- Jonah Williams, OL, Alabama

13           Miami – Jeffrey Simmons, DT, Mississippi State

14           Atlanta – Christian Wilkins, DL, Clemson

15           Washington – Daniel Jones, QB, Duke

16           Carolina – Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss

17           Cleveland – Greedy Williams, CB, LSU

18           Minnesota - Garrett Bradbury, IOL, North Carolina

19           Tennessee - DK Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

20           Pittsburgh - Montez Sweat, Edge, Mississippi State

21           Seattle – Brian Burns, Edge, Florida State

22           Baltimore - Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma

23           Houston -Jawaan Taylor, OT, Florida

24           Oakland (from Chi) – Josh Jacobs, RB, Alabama

25           Philadelphia - Byron Murphy, CB, Washington

26           Indianapolis - Dexter Lawrence, DT, Clemson

27           Oakland (from Dallas) – N’Keal Harry, WR, Arizona State

28           LA Chargers - Dre’Mont Jones, DT, Ohio State

29           Kansas City - Devon Bush, LB, Michigan

30           Green Bay (from New Orleans) – Nassir Adderley, S, Delaware

31           New England – TJ Hockenson, TE, Iowa

32           LA Rams - Andre Dillard, OT, Washington State

Curious where you get your players from, you see all of these guys play or just take guys off other lists you have see?  Just a few comments I had on it...  Also you are missing all the compensatory picks so instead of 224 total it is more like 256 total picks so another 32 picks should be included.

1st Round

5              Tampa Bay – Cody Ford, OT, Oklahoma   Would be nuts if he went this high, good player but to me no way he is top 5 pick in the draft good.

7              Jacksonville – Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma   Would be very exciting but such a reach, especially for a guy who could just say hey I will go play baseball now

10           Denver – Drew Lock, QB, Missouri    Has a lot of moxie and a great arm, this would be a reach for him though

11           Cincinnati– Devin White, LB, LSU    Too low for the best linebacker in the draft[b/

18           Minnesota - Garrett Bradbury, IOL, North Carolina   No freaking thank you.  With Taylor still there or Risner give me those guys all day over Bradbury who is arguably not even the best center in the draft potentially.  will see

30           Green Bay (from New Orleans) – Nassir Adderley, S, Delaware   He is going to be a riser, I hope he does not go to Green Bay though.

2nd Round

39           Tampa Bay – Deionte Thompson, S, Alabama   Could totally see him drop this far but would be a steal at this point

41           Denver – Deandre Baker, CB, Georgia    Why would he drop this far?  Unless he has a horrible combine I doubt this happens

55           Houston- Rock Ya-Sin, CB, Temple   Does have a good build and is an interesting CB, could happen

60           LA Chargers – Terrill Hanks, LB, New Mexico State    Really?  He is ok as a talent but I think this would be a big time reach for him

62           Kansas City- Taylor Rapp, S, Washington    Is a 1st rounder all the way I feel

3rd Round

68           NY Jets- Darrell Henderson, RB, Memphis    Would be surprised to see him fall this far

69           Jacksonville – Dawson Knox, TE, Mississippi   Picked over Jace, no freaking way, Knox is big time overrated I feel and had a pretty lack luster career overall

81           Cleveland- Chima Udoga, OT, USC   I agree, he is a rising come draft time

87           Houston- Jaquan Johnson, S, Miami    Maybe could fall if he works out poorly but teams would be getting a steal then

91           Dallas- Juan Thornhill, S, Virginia   On the field based on his play he is a 2nd round pick all the way, very interesting safety talent

96           Jacksonville (from LAR)- Saivion Smith, CB, Alabama    What about him makes him a 3rd round pick?  He was only a starter because Diggs got injured on Alabama this season really.  Talented kid but should have went back for another year I feel.

4th Round

100         Oakland- Kendall Sheffield, CB, Ohio State   I thought he went back to school?

106         Buffalo  - Beau Benzschawel, IOL, Wisconsin   I feel is arguably better than his teammate Deiter, way more athletic that is for sure

108         Green Bay – Tyree Jackson, QB, Buffalo    With what he did at the senior bowl I think no way he drops past the 3rd but will see

110         Miami- Jared Stidham, QB, Auburn This late?    To me he is 2nd rounder all the way, this would be a steal and a half at this point

114         Minnesota- Andy Isabella, WR, UMass   Should be drafted in the 3rd or 2nd, will have a blazing combine 40 time no doubt

115         Tennessee – Ed Alexander, DT, LSU     Honestly I thought he has disappointed and never really stood out this year on LSU

121         Philadelphia – Bennie Snell, RB, Kentucky   One of the most physical and competitive backs to come into the league in a long time falls this far?  I hope not, the kid is a beast and a half

127         New England – Ryan Finley, QB, NC State    Sure polished QB and probably will not fall this far

5th Round

134         Cleveland (from Jacksonville) – Chase Hansen, LB, Utah    A LB who played safety and has cover skills fall this far, I really doubt that

135         Tampa Bay – Iman Marshall, CB, USC     One of the best man to man cover corners in the draft fall this far, I doubt it, he should be a 2nd rounder or 3rd at worst

136         Detroit- Jimmy Moreland, CB, James Madison   Fine prospect will more likely be a 3rd or 4th rounder

141         Miami – Lil’Jordan Humphrey, WR, Texas     A great athlete fall this far, I doubt it

150         Baltimore – Sione Takitaki, LB, BYU   Amazing senior year, doubt he falls this far this kid can play and is a tackling machine

151         Houston- Bryce Love, RB, Stanford    Could see this happening, especially with his health issue

157         New Orleans- Anthony Johnson, WR, Buffalo    Is a 2nd or 3rd round pick I feel, kid can play and is a good WR

160         LA Rams- Justin Hollins, Edge, Oregon    Really?  Long athletic freak show OLB, is a 2nd rounder all the way to me just on physical tools alone

6th Round

166         Tampa Bay – Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State    His special teams ability could make him go a lot higher than this potentially

176         Miami- Martez Ivey, IOL, Florida    A lot of people do not like him but as a potential OG I feel he could be really good, not sure he is a tackle in the NFL but never thought his career was all that bad to drop this far

181         Baltimore- Gardner Minshew, QB, Washington State   Such a great game manager, would be surprised to see him drop this far.  The Saints I feel would not keep passing him up over and over when he has a lot of Brees type traits and already knows how to check the ball down to the backs and Sean Payton throws a ton to the backs.

187         Indianapolis – Shareef Miller, Edge, Penn State   Doubt he falls this far but could happen, really he should have came back to school could of been in the conversation to be a 1st or 2nd rounder possibly

7th Round

195         NY Jets – Jamal Custis, WR, Syracuse   Freak show athlete, is worth a higher pick that this but will see

197         Pittsburgh (From TB)  - Donald Parham, TE, Stetson    Tall kid and athletic, see how the combine is but really he is so damn skinny in the legs might be hard to succeed

207         Miami – CJ Conrad, TE, Kentucky    One of the most complete TEs in the draft, doubt he falls this far

208         Atlanta- Keke Kingsley, DT, Texas A&M   With how quick he is and a possibly 3/4 DE doubt he falls this far

214         Cleveland (from Bal)  - Alex Bars, IOL, Notre Dame     If he did not get injured could argue he was the best OG prospect in college, will see what happens but that kid can play if he can come back healthy

215         Denver (from Hou) - Trevon Wesco, FB, West Virginia   I agree, as a HB or TE he is very interesting

224         Denver (from LAR) –Rashad Fenton, CB, South Carolina   No way he is worth drafting I feel

Thanks for the comprehensive feedback.  I definitely don't see all of them play, its a combination of watching some of the top guys play, keeping a pulse on the draft community to see how players are regarded by the NFL and following some of the more reputable websites and analyst's lists.  I try to look at team needs, their offensive/defensive philosophies and previous year's trends.  The most fun part for me is matching players based on team fits.   This early on, its a little more of a crapshoot though.  Regarding some of your player notes:

Cody Ford- love him as a prospect. For a big and powerful guy he sets so quickly and fluidly, and has a little salt in his pants.  Seems to me like exactly what NFL teams are looking for since hes so good in pass pro.   Sure he gets a little lazy and inconsistent in his technique but he has so much natural talent.

Nassir Aderly- suddenly feels like such a Raiders pick with Gruden and Guenther both gushing over him.   I'll change this one in the next iteration.

Terrill Hanks- another guy I love, mostly off of his highlights from the week.  Looking like Tarzan, blowing up running backs and running all over the place.  I haven't watched much of him but I bet a team will like him enough to make him a day 2 pick based on this week.

All of the WRs that feel - honestly it was so hard to slot these guys.  There is so much talent from day 2 on at the position.  I lowered the priority for guys who don't have amazing upside (Anthony Johnson) or who may not run that well (L'J Humphrey) but honestly I have no idea how they'll all shape out.

I agree it is a crap shoot, think this is a crap shoot try making a 7 round Mock for the up coming year in January the year before it happens.  I had one it May of last year for this up coming year, currently have one for 2020 now but no teams included because that is really guess work because the order is not even for sure yet.

Ford I like I just think he is a gamble that early, I thought Orlando Brown Jr was a mid 1st rounder to high 1st rounder.  I had Brown as a 1st round pick potentially as a RS SOPH even the year before.  And to me Brown is a better player and he struggled obviously at the combine but was able to be a starter and a decent rookie year for the Ravens.  Ford is not as good as Brown was I feel and that offense is very quick tempo and fast passing so sacking the QB is hard to do, much less when you have Murray back there who is as athletic as hell.  But I do feel OU had arguably the best OL in college football last year, tons of good players on that group.

Adderley is a damn good prospect, thought he did well in the Senior bowl, and if he times as fast as he is supposed to in the 40 1st round is totally a possibility for him.

Did Hanks do that well in the Senior Bowl?  I might have to readdress him and watch him some more, he sure is strong at the point of attack but hard to rank how good he is on such a poor defensive unit.

As a Packers fan, I would pass on OL Jonah Williams and QB Tyree Jackson. I'm not sure Williams is athletic enough for OT in the NFL, and while RG is the biggest need, the Packers normally take interior OL from the 4th or 5th round... also they draft defense with the 1st round picks a huge amount of times... and they have big needs at edge and DB... and not a single DB has been taken yet... Packers GM, loves athletes and would probably take the 1st DB off the board... though already covered Safety at #30, they could still use an elite CB as neither starting CB (King nor Alexander) have a track record for staying healthy during an entire season.

Also the Packers have QB Kizer as a back-up who the GM is said to have loved coming out of the draft, and the 3rd string QB Boyle looked extremely raw but had a number of tools that you can't teach... if he developed at all he could be a future #2 QB for sure.

But everything else, I really liked for the Packers!
