Depends on what their goals are.

Do they want to be a fringe playoff team who wins a playoff game every now and then but never wins another Super Bowl? If so, then pay him.

Do they want to suffer for two-three years while building up another QB, but with MUCH better players around him and a larger chance at winning a Super Bowl? If so, then trade him.

Can't imagine Carroll at his age is interested in a rebuild, so the answer becomes obvious.

Surprised this thread isn’t getting more attention. We could see the biggest trade in NFL History.

Giants and Raiders I see as the most interested parties. Giants could offer 6, 17, and 37. Or the Raiders could offer 4, 27, and Derek Carr.

Russell Wilson already stated that he's not going to sit out or even miss a voluntary workout.  He just set that deadline so that he could go into the season and not have any distractions.

Russell Wilson is probably a top 5 or so QB in the NFL.  You can't trade someone like that and get fair value.

You think 4, 27 and a average QB at best is enough for arguably a top 5 QB?

Unless that 27 was the amount of draft picks you were going to give.

Russells contract is gonna be a massive 35M a year, something to take into account. Two first round picks and one being Top 5 and a quality QB isn’t a bad deal.

If they view the Giants 6, 17, 37 as a better deal they will have to gamble on a QB in the draft.

His contract is going to be massive, but he's worth it.  I don't think Wilson would do well with Antonio Brown.  Brown is an elite player, but he's such a toxic person.  His personality would dominate Wilson's.

They had to clear the locker room of guys like that (Nobody was anywhere near as bad as Brown was), but they had to get rid of Sherman, Bennett, etc.  Granted, those were defensive players, but I legit think Wilson would be miserable with Brown as his teammate.

We all thought Colin Cowerd and his sources were full of s*** two months ago about Wilson wanting to go to a big media city for Ciaras career. Maybe he’s not full of s*** afterall?

Big media cities in the U.S.: New York, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas

Ciara's career??!?!!?!?!?

She's been cold since like 2004.

You forgot Chicago.  Las Vegas?

No, it doesn't.

As to the OP--should the Seahawks trade Russell Wilson? Obviously not. Now...will they?

That's where things get complicated. And since this seems to be a story that normally wouldn't even have legs, and has now become one that cannot die...I'm not ruling anything out.

Las Vegas has like 20 venues and an event at all of them every night.

Yes, Las Vegas is a great tourist spot.  But you said 'big media cities'.  Vegas does not belong on a list with Los Angeles and New York in terms of media.

For an artist like Ciara she’ll have a venue to perform every night if she wanted.
