I mean, other players play well against the Warriors in the playoffs.

How about just not flail out the same way he does every year. Is that too much to ask for? Has disastrous or terrible finishes damn near every year. Houston could end up losing to GS, but if Harden balls out then that will be fine. He would have done his part but they lost to a better team. But trying to play the victim card for Harden in this case after all his playoff failures is hilarious.

It's encouraging to see Harden play well, but I don't think this series is a good measuring stick for the Rockets.

Utah doesn't have the firepower to compete in this series, so they basically have to hold the Rockets to around 100 points. They're not playing good D this series either, lots of guys are getting great catch and shoot looks for Houston. I think the only player who wasn't getting "good" looks yesterday was Harden, and that was by choice and he was making them anyway.

I'm not gonna draw any conclusions for future matchups based in this series, other than hopefully Harden uses this punching bag to develop some confidence when he gets in the ring.

This isn’t just a Utah thing. NO ONE has been able to stop isn’t from getting open catch and shoot 3s all season. We just miss an extremely high percentage of wide open shots.

No, not just about beating the "best team of all time." How about he has one great postseason top to bottom? How about for once he doesn't flail out of the playoffs? GTFO trying to defend his playoff failures and twisting it to if he can or can't beat the "best team of all time." And this "best team of all time" damn sure didn't play like it this season and haven't shown this season they deserve that title. I mean if you want to say most talented team of all time? More credence to that than the other statement.

Such a bad take. Hardens shot worse in the playoffs, mainly because he drives and gets fouled and in the playoffs it’s a play on.

We went to the WCF with Josh Smith, Pablo Prigioni, Corey Brewer, fransico Garica and an injuries Dwight Howard.

Harden has been fine in the playoffs. Probably 3 games in his rockets career that everyone remembers.

No, no he's not been fine in the playoffs for his standards. Don't try to re-write history right now. He's had some complete clunkers to end his postseason run. Hilarious how you bring that Rockets team up in 2015 that went to the WCFs and ignore that the guys you mentioned were part of the big comeback in game 6 with Harden on the bench....Who was GOD awful that game.

Then we saw how he ended the Warriors series with a TERRIBLE game 5...Next year damn near got swept by a Steph-less Warriors team...In 2017, had another TERRIBLE close out game 6 against a Kawhi-less Spurs team. And then last year against the Dubs another bad close in the final two games. I mean he got some late game garbage buckets to make his stats look somewhat decent in game 7, but he was awful after a good first quarter and was one of the main culprits of the biggest droughts from down town we have ever seen from a team.

He's had only ONE postseason run since his Rockets tenure where he's shot better than 42% from the field and only two where he's shot better than 31% from down town. There hasn't been one postseason where he elevated his game from the regular season. Dude not only becomes less efficient which happens to even the best players, but mentally just completely checks out by the last game.

So again, what we're not going to do here is re-write his playoff history and act like he's been this monster. No, that's just not reality.

You are using 2 or 3 really terrible games to say there is a trend. He’s been fine in the playoffs.

Go back to that 2015 WCF. People forget that with the garbage team he had, the rockets lost games 1 and 2 by a combined 5 points on the road.

He routeinly scores over 30 and usually has at least 1 40 point game in nearly every season.

His shooting percentage is the only thing that’s worse and in same sample sizes that litterally means 2 or 3 more misses than normal which is accounted for in the difference in officiating.

No one is questioning harden in this jazz series, and his shooting numbers haven’t been that great.

Over the last several years we are talking about a 45% regular season and a 41% in the post season. That’s no very drastic, especially when 1 bad game can sink your % in a 10-16 game post season.

LOL, just using two or three games? Buddy, those are two or three of THE most important games of the postseason. They are the close out games where he is completely checking out and choking hard. I'm sorry, but you don't just exclude those games.

And his shooting percentage in the Jazz series is actually really good. He's shooting 44% from the field and about the same from down town. Please don't try to compare that to his usual 41% and 30% shooting splits which he does on a yearly basis.

Also, you can't just say 45% to 41% is not very drastic since he's also not getting to the line as much in the playoffs. So you don't get to the FT line at the clip you did in the regular season and are consistently shooting 41/31 from the field and that is some how good? In what world? This is James F'n Harden we are talking about who supposedly should have four MVPs now according to Rockets fans. That's how low of expectations you have for him?

Game 6 against the Spurs is the only game he’s just checked out and lost a series for us.
