  1. 1. NFL Draft or Avengers Endgame

I'll see the Avengers movie a few weeks after it's opened and there are less people in that theater. NFL Draft is like Christmas for football fans. Outside of making the playoffs there isn't a bigger day in the NFL for me.

That's my guess, give or take. The timing of announcing the picks is pretty bad. "Pick is in" is on the screen way to long IMO.

Seems like in the past few years the draft has been going faster too, less teams trying to spend a lot of time to make a trade. I feel like the "Pick is in" gets worse and worse in the later rounds.

Remember the 1st round used to be 15 minutes. Agree with this.

I think the 10 PM guess-timate is as good as any. It shouldn't be later than that if they stick to the 10 minutes.

I just wish the draft would go back to being just a 2-day event.  The 3-day thing is completely unnecessary.  Hell, I wish it'd go back to being on Tuesday-Wednesday like it was prior to the late 80s...it would give me an excuse to take vacation days from work.   I vaguely remember skipping class on Tuesday to see the Vikings select DJ Dozier and Hank Thomas, wondering who those guys were.  xD

I don't mind the format as it is. I've taken the Friday off after the 1st round for a couple years, if it is nice enough out I usually try and get a round of golf in with another buddy and we talk about the draft.

for what it's worth, Spielman says the first round being the end of the first night's events lets the GM's have more time to deal with each other for next day trades.

I know they certainly like it...I just think the whole 3-day draft extravaganza is completely unnecessary...but, it's certainly better than spending an entire night watching people talk about the schedule.

i've never watched a draft in my life. listening to those buffoons talk for ten minutes at a time when there's ten seconds of news is arduous for me.

Me too!  Watching the draft neither informs or entertains me in slightest.  As for the movie...I think I'll wait until it's On Demand or on Netflix.  Although, I did go see The Black Panther in the theatre with my son and I enjoyed that film.

I'm picking Avengers. Been excited for it since Infinity war conclusion  and spoilers will be rampant after Thursday.  Pick the 6:30 show with the movie being 3hrs and add 20 minutes for trailers. Afterwards, I will be here joining the battle betwen "this pick was the worst ever" or "I love this pick he's a steal"! I can't wait
