With how much it's been reported (and basically you can also see it from the few clips BR.com posts) that Lamar's passing has vastly improved this year, I wonder what NFL Gen is going to do when the inevitable "Lamar is a RB" garbage is gone?

It’ll persist. Just like the Ray Lewis is a murderer, Kobe is a rapist, Ben is a rapist, and Colin Kap isn’t a patriot stances, once public perception latches onto a thing bad, they don’t let go. Regardless of what intent or evidence provides for clarity.

Just look at how the Ravens under Harbaugh have mostly been a team of good ole boys, outside of the Ray Rice incident, but the fact that the public image in the past was of a team of dysfunctional personalities that play great defense, that still continues to be an image of who the Ravens are.

The Ravens will never be America’s team. They’re probably more like the wrestling heel or the antihero that does good sometimes, but for the most part is considered a disparate individual. It’s why the public doesn’t want this team to succeed. The Ravens are like the WWF version of The Rock before he became the movie star. Popular enough to always be featured, but no one wants him to beat out Stone Cold in the end.

Thus with regards to Lamar, people will die on their sword and simply will point to how most top QBs have a 70% completion while Jackson only has a 62% completion and therefore Jackson is a RB. Even if his 62% is higher than Josh Allen’s or Sam Darnold.

Or the argument will be that any QB worth his salt passes for 4500 yds plus, while Jackson only passes for 3800 yds, thus he’s a RB that passes. Even if Sam Darnold also passed for only 3800. People will always hate Lamar and now until forever more he will be known as a runner. Regardless of whether that perception is based in reality or not. The public perception isn’t likely to be changed.

---"This year, the Jaguars called,” Harbaugh said. “Their GM [David Caldwell] and our GM, Eric [DeCosta], are very close. It felt like maybe something that would work, and it worked out.---

Interesting. Even if we don't pull off an Ngakue deal, there could be other interactions in the future.

People who don't wait for more data/evidence aren't going to swayed by more data/evidence.
