beekay414
Jesus. What is with throwing 1-2 count meatballs? Barnes last night, Davies today. Excellent.

beekay414
Why do we keep trotting Villar out as leadoff? His *** belongs on the bench yet we keep putting him in a vital spot in the lineup. I'd rather have Domingo lead off.

beekay414
2nd half so far we're averaged 3.5 runs per game with 25 of those runs coming in 3 games. Those other 13 games? 2.3 runs per. Pitching ERA in that time frame has been 4.59. Not a good combo, Bob. Edited July 30, 2017 by bkobow05

I'm still not convinced we're not going to make another move or two. We're 2.5 back now but we still have 7 games vs the Cubs so it's not like we're really out of it and that's the approach that Attanasio is going to take in regards to pressuring Stearns (because let's be real here, Attanasio isn't going to stand pat). I wouldn't be surprised if Dan Straily is a Brewer tomorrow. I don't think we're really willing to ride out a rotation of Nelson, Davies, Anderson, Garza, Suter the rest of the season and with both Anderson and Garza out for a while, we're rocking a rotation of Nelson, Davies, Suter and two unknowns. I mean, this is our active pitching right now...
Pugger
I don't know if our pitching is the real problem right now. This staff - with all of its warts - had kept the Cubs in check for the most part. If you can't score more than 1 or 2 runs a game you're screwed. The guys seem to watch good pitches go by and swing at balls. Truly sad, frankly. Can this drought continue much longer?? titans0021
In light of the last two days, I feel it's a good time to post this: In exchange for Carlos Gomez, Mike Fiers, Jonathan Lucroy, Jeremy Jeffress and Tyler Thornburg, we received Domingo Santana, Josh Hader, Brett Phillips, Lewis Brinson, Luis Ortiz, essentially Anthony Swarzak, Travis Shaw, Mauricio Dubon, Adrian Houser and Josh Pennington (lemme know if I'm missing someone @bkobow05 or @ramssuperbowl99 ).. The teams that we traded those five players to have gotten a combined 5.1 WAR out of them. We've gotten 5 WAR out of Santana and Shaw this season and have a combined five million years of team control left amongst the entire group. Oh yeah, and the two most valuable (when traded) players have been waived (Gomez) and just traded for a PTBNL (Lucroy).

If it means I don't have to watch Guerra anymore I'm all for it lol.

You could throw in Phil Bickford (although he got popped for drugs) and Andrew Susac for Will Smith.
