Speaking of ST, is anybody else upset at the rule change a few years ago to basically have 50%+ of kickoffs be touchbacks by moving the kickoffs up? I feel like its been 84 years since I have seen a kick return TD almost like that has been completely fazed out of football. The lack of super exciting kick return specialists like Hester/Cribbs/Hall anymore to me sort of sucks.

Kick returns have far and away the highest rate of injury for any one type of play.

If you feel like it’s been fazed out, it’s because it has, and it’s intentional.

I know it was intentional all im saying is that it sucks that it was fazed out lol Though eliminating injuries is obviously a good thing.

Defense has been a pleasant surprise with the secondary depth as well as LB play with Mack Wilson and Joe Schobert.  D line has been average with below average Vernon (he needs to go) and Richardson overpaid.

Special teams has been outstanding with minor exceptions of some needless penalties.  Dorsey worked some magic with kicker and punter.

Offense is mixed bag as it appears moving forward with Chubb running the rock which opens up everything else.  To run effectively, you must have run blockers including TE's and WR's.  Beckam and Landry actually block.  TE play has been marginal with the blocking except Jones and Harris.

Coaching has been average with Kitchens and marginal Monken, and good with Wilkes and Pfeifer (special teams).

Dorsey has been patient and not made any trades yet.  I believe Dorsey is a top talent evaluator and very astute in the draft.  His trades to date have been average at best as I hated both  the Giants trades.

Obj and vernon or zeitler, peppers and lawrence.

I like obj and Vernon

I liked Peppers and still do.

However, OBJ opens so many things up for us schematically. You can’t cheat and leave him 1 on 1. You have to take away an extra safety from the box.

I like peppers, im not that high on the strong safety position as a priority however.

Wr and de are more important. Id say de and wr are all nore importsnt than ss, dt and rg.

I'm glad Peppers is gone so that we never had to see him return the ball again

Yeah that blew.

We drafted him as an A+ athlete that could play nickel, safrty, returner, offensive weapon, and linebacker a d we got an above average strong safety that had one amazing game.
